The 1stbet Stronach 5 sequence for 2/14/2020 encompases races from Laurel (Race 8), Gulfstream Park (Race 7 and Race 10), Golden Gate Fields (Race 3) and Santa Anita (Race 4).
Laurel – Since racing ended on Sunday the track has received over an inch of rain. Another quarter of an inch is expected today with it ending late morning/early afternoon (Thursday). No rain is expected on Friday which hopefully will give the track 24 hours to dry before post time for race 8.
Gulfstream Park – A cold front currently located across the Florida Panhandle up to Maryland is making its way southward over the next 36 hours. Scattered storms are expected to dissipate throughout Friday making the forecast for Race 7 and 10 tricky. The model consensus at this point is the rain should hold off until 6 pm ET. Since the rain is expecting to start around 6 pm I fully expect both race to be ran on the turf. Along with this cold front models have been trending towards a pop up shower early Friday morning over Hollandale Beach.
Golden Gate Fields – The weather is expected to be gorgeous with a high of 60.
Santa Anita – The weather is expected to be even more beautiful than Golden Gate Fields with a high of 70.
