Albany stakes
Respect Wesley Wards runner Nayibeth but he’s yet to win a 6f 2 year old race here so it can win without me. The current favourite is Daahyeh and she did well to beat the Queen Mary winner Raffle Prize on debut in a good time and last 3 furlongs, she looks a big type and could come on a fair bit for debut. The one I’ll be having a bit on at a big price is BACK TO BRUSSELS she ran in a listed race against colts last time, she was held up but made a nice move into the race off a slow pace before being left behind, she did beat one though the Windsor Castle winner Southern Hills, the other angle is the jockey Jamie Spencer how will surely ride her to pick up the pieces and she could just pinch a place.
King Edward VII stakes
Japan was very weak in the betting for the Dante and ran ok from an unpromising position. The feeling was he needed the run and he was again weak in the betting for the Derby  but he was finishing best of all down the outside and although I have the feeling it was a weak Derby. He may be strong enough here & he could take another step forward. The P’s (Private Secretary, Pondus, Pablo Escobar) all look promising unexposed types who could give him a race. All in all, I think Japan is about the right price and will pass the contest.
Commonwealth Cup
Ten Sovereigns ran 3 fast times at 2 but without getting any quicker and they tried the mile in the Guineas which appeared to stretch him, he’s got a favourites chance but backing O’Brien in 3yo+ sprint races isn’t an angle I like . Jash was only a half length behind in the Middle Park and won on return despite being keen over 7f.Advertise will be popular with Frankie up & in first time blinkers but he needs to bounce back from a very poor guineas run. HELLO YOUMZAIN is the selection he doesn’t have the sexy profile/connections of some and his Haydock win was written off as Caylx clearly didn’t run to form but he was impressive there and looks like he might have progressed a bit from 2 to 3, time figures are tricky to compile at Haydock and some publications may have underrated the run.
Coronation Cup
Hermosa looks very solid here, she was more impressive last time than the English 2000 but she did have the favoured leaders position in the Irish version. Jubiloso will be popular on her connection with Frankel and wide margin win last time out but the time gives her a bit to find. Two horses come from the French guineas the winner Castle Lady who won narrowly and WATCH ME who looked unlucky not to win given she was stopped when making her move and had no chance after. She is double the price of Castle Lady and although I think she needs to improve to beat the favourite that looks too big.
