Belmont Park September 26 2020 Early Five

Let’s take a gander at the races to be run at BIG Sandy today September 26, 2020

Here on the Blog will go over the 1st 5 Races

RACE 1 – 1Mile & 1/16th (DIRT) Clm 20000

#3 Thebigfundamental is the class of this field of 6 older males.  Is dropping in class after a his comeback race in July.  That could have been a need a race up at Saratoga because the distance was only 6 1/2 and before that he was router only for the past 3 years, but he drops in class even more so.  – Doesn’t give me a great feeling of confidence. He is one that you can go all in or take a stand against. #4 Heavy Roller fits at this level and distance will be forwardly placed; with those two factors and looking at the project pace of this race, one that you want to consider.

RACE 2 – 1Mile & 1/16th (Inner Turf) Mdn 52k

Looking at this race a whole I think there are three horses that match up from a statistical standpoint and one horse with good connections looks ready to move his young career to the turf. Starting with the later, I like #9 Tercero as one to build some plays around.  Looking back on his previous races from last year looks that he would appreciate the additional ground and has a turf pedigree. Trained by Bill Mott and Johnny V in the irons – The art of the possible await.  The other runners in the spot that fit from a form standpoint are #4 Silver Token ,#6 The Golden Door and #8 Advanced Strategy.

RACE 3 – 1 Mile (DIRT) Mdn 63k

#1 Jouster – was heavily bet in her debut and ran a competitive 2nd going 6f against a slightly tougher group that he will face here, with any improvement should do well. #4 Suspended Campaign fits a similar profile and should be considered for the exact reasons as the #1.  #7 Jamsstar will offer slightly better value but ran 7f in her first outing, please consider.

RACE 4 – 1Mile & 1/16th (Inner Turf) OC 62500n2x

#2 Stone Tornado and #4 Simplicity have the class and ability figures to win this race very easily.  – The Chad Brown runner #2 may take more money at the window but I feel that #4 for Christopher Clement is equally as good in this spot. – Lean on one or both in your plays.

RACE 5 – 1 Mile (TURF) Mdn 52k

#1 Chulainn will be competing in his second outing and is projecting to do well with the addition of blinkers and the added distance. # 3 Masked Marauder is trying grass for the first time but we all know Curlin babies and grandbabies do well on both surfaces.  Last but not least I want mention #8 Vodka Lemonade a first time starter for Mike Maker – Castellano in the irons.

Don’t forget to check out my thoughts for the late 5 pick for today as PTF and I discussed yesterday on over on the Racing Picks Players Podcast – https://wp.me/payDUy-2MZ
