Key: BF = Bad Favorite and LS = Longshot
FYI, I will not handicap/cover Races 8-10, which are Quarterhorse races.
Race 1: 2-6-5 LS: 2
#2 Tiznow the Winner out of one of my favorite horses, Tiznow. This one is not quite as talented. Ran a race on debut that is good enough to win here, perhaps didn’t like the Turf Paradise surface. Has worked steadily since, dropping down, not without a shot at a price to start the day.
Race 2: 2-1-3
#2 Haddy Up dropping down in class as best speed on paper. If she can get a breather and not take too much pressure from the #4, we’ll hear Track Announcer Paul Allen say, “she’s loose!”
Race 3: 6-4-5

#6 Sweet as Can Be in much tougher last time on a very sloppy track. Has good tactical speed from the outside draw, can have the lead or just sit off and should outclass them from here.
Race 4: 4-5-6
#4 Rockthepulpit might just get the right trip, as the fave on the outside might get hooked up in a speed duel with the #2. He seems to be improving for Rengsdorf and Quinonez and is good as any other than the ML fave.
Race 5: 7-5-3 BF: 2
I really like the #7 Overly Lucky in this spot. This turf is playing to early speed and he’s a closer, but it looks like there’s a bunch of early gas to close into and is improving on figs. The ML fave (#2) has never been on turf and prefers to be up close, but so do others.
Race 6: 6-5-7
#6 Minnesota Nice should not be 7-5 as the ML suggests, but if she runs back to her turf effort last time, will be tough here. Has some questions to answer, but most likely winner. Like the improved early speed she showed during previous run.
Race 7: 1-5-4 LS: 5
#1 Winnager a soft pick here…she’s nothing if not consistent and the inside post should work to her benefit. Comes in from Chicago, not a lot of proven turf form from the others. A longshot possibility is the #5 Medalla Match. Out of the great turf sire War Front, she has early speed and if takes the turf, could be dangerous at a price (10-1 ML).
