Late Pick 5
Race selections provided are in the mindset of playing the Pick 5 sequence as a whole; runners are placed in the order of most likely winner, in my humble opinion.
Race 6 SELECTIONS: 12 – 8 – 3 – 1
#12 Flat to Da Mat has good tactical speed and is dropping in class for trainer Mike Maker. #8 Walley World is always in contention and cannot be overlooked. #3 Gun Barrel City is a lightly raced four-year-old gelding with great blood lines, that trainer Todd Pletcher brings down from Aqueduct. #1 Lights of Broadway is a long shot candidate if he can get a reasonable pace early.
Race 8 SELECTIONS: 3- 1 – 5
#3 Longbranch Lou returns to the level and surface that he won for fun at last time. #1 Carentan is two for two for trainer Carlos David and drops to the Optional Claim ranks in an attempt to get the bag. #5 Navy Cross is a competitive gelding running third off the layoff for jockey Edgar Perez.
Race 9 SELECTIONS: 1
# 1 Risk Manager looks like the one to beat in this marathon turf.
Race 10 SELECTIONS: 4 – 5 – 7
#4 Epic Summer put up solid numbers on his debut and gets the services of jockey Tyler Gaffalione. #5 Bull by the Horns faces winners for the first time, but he won like a professional at this distance last time. #7 My Boy Stan won strong at first asking going 6F, now stretching out to a mile and should be able to handle the added distance.
Race 11 SELECTIONS: 7 – 4 – 2
#7 Freedom Street proved his ability to handle the route distance early on in his career and now returns to the mile distance and gets jockey Miguel Vasquez in the irons. #2 Fly Erik Fly has not raced in over a year but has the potential to win versus this field. #4 Seawise returns to the turf and also gets jockey Rajiv Maragh back in the saddle.
Today’s ticket .50 base (pre scratches) : 1,3,8,12 / 1,3,5 / 1 / 4,5,7 / 2,4,7 cost: $54
