Late Pick 5
Race selections provided are in the mindset of playing the Pick 5 sequence as a whole; runners are placed in the order of most likely winner, in my humble opinion.
Race 7 SELECTIONS: 2 – 7
#2 Surf’s Up will be running first off the claim for his new trainer Carlos David. He has a good early turn off foot and will get the services of jockey Irad Ortiz. #7 Blazing Bucchero should get a good opportunity to cross the wire first, being on the outside and running late into a projected hot pace.
Race 8 SELECTIONS: 1 – 4 – 6
#1 Ramajay will look to cure his bout of second-itis as he gets Lasix for the first time for trainer Saffie Joseph Jr. #4 Redemption Hour ran a very fast first half of her debut last time out before tiring late; potential price. #6 Fancy Gentleman will also look to improve as this son of Authentic makes his second career start, the debut was not the best but not bad, should improve.
Race 9 SELECTIONS: 6 – 7
#6 Le Amazonia returns to the level and surface that makes this four-year-old filly a serious competitor. #7 Mz Big Bucks has very great early speed and should be prominent early, I like the cutback and the jockey change to Irad Ortiz.
Race 10 SELECTIONS: 3 – 4 – 5
#3 Awesome Train should have every opportunity to be right there in the end, jockey Irad Ortiz retains the mount. #4 Lure Him In is a nine-year old young gelding that still has gusto in the tank. #5 Lightning Tones will do his best running late in an attempt to get the victory. With the rest of the field being early and presser types, he could have the most left when they turn for home.
Race 11 SELECTIONS: 7 – 6
#7 Ashima is a mare that fits at this level and just has that desire to win, respect it and love to see it. #6 Spirited Boss will make her second start off a long layoff for trainer Jose D’Angelo.
