Late Pick 5 Sequence
Race selections provided are in the mindset of playing the Pick 5 sequence as a whole; runners are placed in the order of most likely winner, in my humble opinion. To be more judicious with our bankroll in 2026, I will be taking a more targeted approach in Pick 5 selections and include some win bets and doubles when the opportunities arise.
Race 6 SELECTIONS: 7 – 1 – 3
#7 Practically Famous drops in class and returns to the dirt surface and gets Lasix for the first time for trainer Brian Lynch. #1 Frosty Belle will make her second start for the barn of Colin Maragh; Colin will employ the services of his son Rajiv. This filly was claimed two races back and moved to this level and once again will give it a go, gets Lasix for the first time. #3 On the Beam ships in from Penn National after breaking her maiden. She is not a standout but based on her potential on the track and the potential price, we will include.
Race 7 SELECTIONS: 6
#6 Thankfully returned last time out to a race at a slightly higher-class level than she will compete at today after just missing; won’t offer much value but she will be our single for the sequence.
Race 8 SELECTIONS: 8 – 2
#8 Prom Queen is a well-bred first-time starter, daughter of Quality Road, trained by Brad Cox; jockey Flavien Prat gets the mount. #2 She Be Smooth is a Todd Pletcher trainee, daughter of Lexitonian, homebred for Calumet Farms.
Race 9 SELECTIONS: 10 – 2 – 5
#10 Quadra has great early speed and has been successful using the gate to wire tactic in the past. #2 Dominant Diva has major early speed but has never been on the turf. She gets Lasix once again and will get Jockey Flavien Plat in the irons. #5 Su Win returns from a three-month layoff for the small but mighty barn of Juan Rizo; she won her only attempt sprinting on the turf.
Race 10 SELECTIONS: 6 – 7 ( I know I know)
#6 Relator drops in class after running a solid third place finish last time out; prior to that effort he was victorious at this level. #7 Internal Capital will be making his second start for the barn of Antonio Sano; he is dangerous with an extreme pace or if they go cautiously slow up front.
