Gulfstream Park – Late Pick 5 Sequence – Saturday (February 07, 2026) – John Pinder

Late Pick 5 Sequence

Race selections provided are in the mindset of playing the Pick 5 sequence as a whole; runners are placed in the order of most likely winner, in my humble opinion.  To be more judicious with our bankroll in 2026, I will be taking a more targeted approach in Pick 5 selections and include some win bets and doubles when the opportunities arise.

Race 8 SELECTIONS:  1 – 6 – 8

# 1 Mr. Miracle will make his second career start for strong connections and is well-bred.   # 6 Easterly will also make his second start for a strong trainer jockey combination. This son of Uncle Mo ran evenly paced in his first attempt but showed his aptitude for the distance.  #8 Chess Match is a first-time starter trained by Todd Pletcher; he like our other selections is well bred on the Sire and Dam side.

Race 9 SELECTIONS:   4 – 2 – 6

#4 Carentan likes to press the pace and has the ability to finish well at this level; trainer Carlos David’s barn is doing very well at the meet.  #2 Inchon will need to return to form but will be making his first start for new trainer Mark Casse; jockey Tyler Gaffalione picks up the mount.  #6 American Speed moves to his new trainer after being claimed by the trainer himself, Mr. Sam Wilensky, latest workout was impressive.

Race 10 SELECTIONS:  7 – 1

#7 Moon Spun will be going for her fourth consecutive victory and should be the over whelming  favorite.  We wont play against him but there is a lot of speed signed on in this race and we will look for #1 Flamingo Way to use his effective sprint closing speed to pick up the pieces late.

Race 11 SELECTIONS:  3

#3 Fast Town will be our single in the sequence. as the other potential competition scratched from the race this morning.

Race 10 SELECTIONS:   7 – 4 – 8

#7 Slippers returns to the surface that she broke her maiden two races back on; her last attempt was in a stake race and was moved off the turf due to the weather.  #4 Meilani will make her first start at Gulfstream Park for trainer Kevin Attard, she is a hard trying filly that is coming off a 3 months rest.  #8 Viva Vienne attempted the turf for the first time last time out and just missed by a narrow margin after a slow start.

Today’s pick 5 ticket $.50 base (post scratches) :  1,6,8 / 2,4,6 / 1,7 / 3 / 4,7,8    cost:  $27

Race 9:                   $5 Double 2,4,6  with 1   cost: $15

Total Cost:          $42

Let’s Make it Happen!!!
