Late Pick 5 Sequence
Race selections provided are in the mindset of playing the Pick 5 sequence as a whole; runners are placed in the order of most likely winner, in my humble opinion. To be more judicious with our bankroll in 2026, I will be taking a more targeted approach in Pick 5 selections and include some win bets and doubles when the opportunities arise.
Race 8 SELECTIONS: 5 – 2 – 4 – 3
#5 Fancy Gentleman will make his third career start after OKAY performances but his experience and the second race on Lasix could prove to be the difference. #2 Gregarious and #4 Overview will both be making their racing debuts for trainers and jockey’s who are good with first time starters. #3 Infinite Light will be making his second career start for trainer Todd Pletcher, jockey change to John Velazquez.
Race 9 SELECTIONS: 9 – 10
#9 Pretty Lavish will be making her second start off the layoff after just missing last time out, jockey change to Tyler Gaffalione. #10 La Cantera did not get a great trip last time out and should be aided by the outside post draw and the additional sixteenth of a mile.
Race 10 SELECTIONS: 8
#8 Con Compania will need to implore his off the pace tactics to beat the race favorite, but the projected pace of today’s feature race should setup very well for him to be able to do so and allow us to build some equity by singling him.
Race 11 SELECTIONS: 1 – 8
#1 Compass Rises will look to return to form as she will be reunited with jockey Junior Alvarado, for new trainer Angel Rodriguez. #8 Mi Triguena doesn’t have the fastest speed figures but her ability to finish strong regardless of the pace scenario makes her dangerous.
Race 12 SELECTIONS: 5 – 9 – 3 – 1 – 10
#5 Let’s Go Barbie got good experience last time out when she sprinted on the All-Weather, she rallied to finish a very close third. #9 Conciliation, #3 Dreaming of Joy and #1 Use Me are all well bred fillies making their debut for strong connections. #10 Alpenglow has not been to the races for more than 6 months but on debut she showed promise running close to a hot pace for the first part of the race.
