Late Pick 5 Sequence
Race selections provided are in the mindset of playing the Pick 5 sequence as a whole; runners are placed in the order of most likely winner, in my humble opinion. To be more judicious with our bankroll in 2026, I will be taking a more targeted approach in Pick 5 selections and include some win bets and doubles when the opportunities arise.
Race 8 SELECTIONS: 7 – 6 – 8
#6 Chloe’s Toy was victorious last time but her and #7 Misprint have done battles, they are the two most likely winners of today’s 8th race. #8 Omo Ten Girl should be a nice overlay on the tote because of her last race, but not due to her talent.
Race 9 SELECTIONS: 7 – 6 – 3
#7 Charlie’s Wish drops in class and returns to the All-Weather surface for strong connections. #6 Reagan’s Flame ran against a salty group on the dirt at Oaklawn Park last time out but could do much better on the All-Weather surface. #3 Table Flirt has been away from the races for three months but looks well placed in this spot, one of the many factors that you can look for with Bill Mott trainees.
Race 10 SELECTIONS: 2 – 8
#2 To a Flame returns after a six-month layoff but you saw a very talented runner in her first two starts. #8 Tideoftime is a hard trying filly that will get some class relief and Lasix for the first time.
Race 11 SELECTIONS: 4
#4 Sterling Silver will be our single in the sequence, and we will be going against a very tough competitor in that of #5 R Disaster, but I project the race to setup for our pick to come from off the pace and get the win.
Race 12 SELECTIONS: 1 – 6 – 3 – 10
#1 Offlee Naughty was no match for the group that he ran with last time but today drops in class and should get a good stalking trip from post one as they go around three turns today. #6 Side Street is coming off a long layoff and ships in for a small barn which may lead to some bettors to stay away, but we are not; the horse has talent. #3 Pierre similarly ships in and the connections have not had a lot of success lately, but he will be running second off the layoff and his running style is well suited. #10 Just for Luck is always in contention late and should once again have that opportunity, he should appreciate the longer distance as well.
