Late Pick 5 Sequence
Race selections provided are in the mindset of playing the Pick 5 sequence as a whole; runners are placed in the order of most likely winner, in my humble opinion. To be more judicious with our bankroll in 2026, I will be taking a more targeted approach in Pick 5 selections and include some win bets and doubles when the opportunities arise.
Race 7 SELECTIONS: 6
#6 Equitas broke her maiden last time out for new trainer Jeff Engler and will look for a repeat ceremony; jockey Luca Panici maintains the mount.
Race 8 SELECTIONS: 7 – 8 – 2
#7 Oh Darlin faced tougher on the turf over at Tampa earlier in the month and held her own; now returns to GP and the All-Weather surface. #8 Foggy Note is a hard-trying mare who will get the services of jockey Irad Ortiz. #2 Wiffletree Serry will attempt the All-Weather for the first time and should do well. She has the ability to get away from the gate with great speed; trainer Michael Yates’s stats are very good with runners returning from a layoff.
Race 9 SELECTIONS: 4 – 10
#4 Malleymoo drops in class for trainer Chad Brown, this versatile mare will be tuff in this spot. #10 Vixen is a graded stakes competing filly that will also get some class relief; gets the riding services of jockey Irad Ortiz.
Race 10 SELECTIONS: 5 – 7
#5 American Pearl is one of two highly probable winners of today’s 9th race. She is coming off an impressive victory that earned a very good speed rating. The other is #7 Cooey, who is also coming in off a victory and looks to be ready for the tough competition.
Race 11 SELECTIONS: 8 – 3 – 9 – 10 – 4
#8 Spicy Princess has great late close. Last time out jockey David Egan gave her an excellent chance. He will attempt to once again today. #3 Temeraire closes well and should get a good trip from the inside post, jockey Tyler Gaffalione will pick up the mount. #9 Munnings Talks was caught wide most of her maiden race last time out, still she was only beaten by a few lengths. #10 Forget About You is an Ireland bred filly making her second career start for trainer Brendan Walsh; will get Lasix for the first time and a jockey change to Mario Gutierrez. #4 Devilish Grin makes her first start for new trainer George Weaver. She has talent and will be getting Lasix for the first time.
