Race selections provided are in the mindset of playing the Pick 5 sequence as a whole; runners are placed in the order of most likely winner, in my humble opinion.
Race 7 SELECTIONS: 6 – 7 – 4
#6 R Tun Who is a first time starter running for strong connections and gets red hot jockey Tyler Gafflione in the irons. #7 Uni Merla is the daughter of a precocious sire making her first time start, jockey Joe Bravo will be in the saddle. #4 Starship Daytona has good pedigree and her Dam has produced three winners from three starters.
Race 8 SELECTIONS: 4 – 7 – 5
#4 Mr Scatter is a certified closer making his first start for new trainer Beau Chapman. #7 Blue Slide Park is returning from a 50 day freshening to the distance and class level that he just missed at last time. #5 Brother Brad ships in from Monmouth, his last two workouts indicate he is ready to put in a good effort here.
Race 9 SELECTIONS: 6 – 1 – 9
#6 Lachaise is a strong win candidate due to his versatility and the projected pace in today’s 9th. #1 Ironsides has proved his ability to be able to close and in a race with the projected fast pace, he is one to consider. #9 Tut’s Revenge is a nine year old, hard-trying gelding that is very competitive at the one mile distance for trainer Michael Maker.
Race 10 SELECTIONS: 1 – 3
#1 He’s a Beast has the speed and versatility to be effective at the 7 for long distance. #3 Awesome Beast returns to the track after a seventh month layoff but all his workouts leading up to today’s comeback look strong.
Race 11 SELECTIONS: 2 – 9
#2 Temeraire gets a little class relief in this competitive spot, gets jockey Junior Alvarado in the saddle. #9 Love and Grace is a highly regarded young filly who ran well last time out until the stretch, today she is reunited with Jockey Tyler Gafflione.
