Late Pick 5
Race selections provided are in the mindset of playing the Pick 5 sequence as a whole; runners are placed in the order of most likely winner, in my humble opinion.
Race 6 SELECTIONS: 6 – 3 – 1
#6 Gallant Knight is comming a victory off at a higher level and top jockey Irad Ortiz picks up the riding assignment. #3 Rolling On just missed in a similar race last time out at this class level. #1 Saybrook should be considered because of his ealry speed.
Race 7 SELECTIONS: 2 – 8
#2 Identity Crisis is getting some class relief as he makes his first start for new trainer Jose D’Angelo. #8 McMullen narrowly missed last time out at this level and will also be running for a new trainer, Carlos David.
Race 8 SELECTIONS: 1 – 2 – 5
#1 Boat’s a Rockin is a nine year old youngster who held his own last time out at a higher level. #2 Send Cash didn’t fare well in his last outing but has talent, top jockey Irad Ortiz picks up the riding assignment. #5 Artemus Citylimits is a very consistent competitor that ships in from Woodbine for trainer Martin Drexler.
Race 9 SELECTIONS: 2 – 7
#2 Just a Philly is a hard trying filly gets some class relief after a not so great effort going 6Furlongs. #7 Cap Ferrat is also coming off a lack luster effort which prompted a two months freshening by trainer Saffie Joseph Jr.
Race 10 SELECTIONS: 1 – 3
#1 Thousandsticks earned a solid speed rating last time out as he showed a new dimension of ealry speed. #3 Gairloch broke his maiden at first asking for trainer Brendan Walsh going long on the turf and today gets Lasix for the first time.
