Best Bet: Race 8: (4) Nomo Ron

Race 1: (1) Passage of Lines could get a similar trip as last time as there are pace horses from his last start back in this race with him again. (3) Count the Shells won on the lead last time he out, but he will have to stalk in order to win this race, like the cutback for this one.  (5) Stretch the Truth could be the speed of the speed here.

Selections: 1-3-5

Race 2: (3) Scarlet’s Song gets to stretch out here and can be the controlling speed in a race where there is not a lot of pace. (5) La Smarty was out of position being off the pace and wide, this horse should be more forwardly placed. (1) Moonlight Miss can sit behind the leaders here and work out a good trip.

Selections: 3-5-1

Race 3: (5) Nobody Knew has been racing against much tougher and was chasing a quicker than look pace last time out. Way the horse to beat. (3) Wicked Finn is in a realistic spot here after breaking his Maiden at Presque Isle last time out. (1) Twitty City gets to cutback in distance here after a few disappointing efforts in his last two starts.

Selections: 5-3-1

Race 4: (1A) Magic of Love chased a heavy favorite who went wire to wire last time out. Like the move up in class off the claim, gets Lasix and blinkers for this one. (6) Zaga did no running, but was pace compromised as the heavy favorite in that race wired the field. Gets to drop down and can improve in second start. (3) Unbridled Parrott gets to stretch out and drop down here after losing to a heavy favorite who wired the field.

Selections: 1A-6-3

Race 5: (9) Hetty G. has been going around two turns or too far in her last three starts. Finally gets to do what she does best here and should be tough to beat. (2) I’m So Munny raced well last time out as she was in a duel in which the other horses up on the pace fell apart and she had enough to hold off the closers. Gets Claimed by a hot trainer out of that race as well. (6) Dares Dat Gold raced against tougher last time out and is back into a realistic spot.

Selections: 9-2-6

Race 6: (7) Song of Honor was pace compromised last time out as the horses who ran 1-2 went that way around the racetrack. (3) Long Distance Love chased a horse who freaked on the day for the level, the second-place finisher of that race also came back to win. (2) Sheriff’s Kid could be the speed here as she made an early move in a race that started to collapse as the favorite came from far back to catch her.

Selections: 7-3-2

Race 7: Interesting spot for (5) Nightlife as she goes from turf to dirt. Can be the speed in this race and wire the field. (4) Combat Queen has benefitted from good setups in her last two starts to close and hit the board. She can complete the exotics once again. (6) Judi Blue Eyes gets to cutback here after a nice win last time out at Parx.

Selections: 5-4-6

Race 8: (4) Nomo Ron raced well last time out, he was pace compromised as he was one of the few in that race to close in a race where there was a wire-to-wire winner. Could get a good setup here if the (1) Stroll Smokin and (3) Always Sunshine knock heads again, even though they had a favorable setup pace wise last time out as no one closed in that race.

Selections: 4-1-3

Race 9: (5) Garrison’s Charge is way the horse to beat but the drop down is suspect here. (6) More Twirl is an alternative in this spot after pairing up his top figure. (4) Commanding General is another who could get a piece here. Like the fact that a trainer who is (24%) first off, the claim moving this horse up in class.

Selections: 6-4-5
