Race 1: Claiming 12.5k, 4YO+ (F), 1 1/16 Miles, Dirt

HORSE RACE TRIP NOTE
#6 REHOBOTH AVENUE Claiming 12k, LRL, 1M, Muddy Dirt, 03/06/26 – 3rd Flashed speed early, then dropped back to track the even pace ~5/8; fell behind when riding the rail on the turn; cut the corner into the lane, then rallied between horses through the lane, despite flopping leads, while gradually maneuvering into the center. Willing to give her a small UPGRADE for this effort as she spent the majority of the contest on the “dead” inside rail. Suspect the extra distance today will help her second off the claim too.
Other notes:

–        #1 WORRIES UNFOUNDED was below her best again last time (6F, LRL, 02/15/26 – 7th) which makes it hard to upgrade her effort, but her trip certainly didn’t help: bumped hard at the start, she got away slowly in rear; chased the even pace that held well from last into the turn, then lost ground advancing ~4W before her rider accepted defeat at the top of the lane and eased her home, exasperating the margin of defeat. Although she has questions to answer, her current ability is likely higher than this run suggests. Unsure about her stretching out in trip.

–        #5 POOR MANS LADY put in a nice effort last time (1M, LRL, 03/06/26 – 2nd), closing from a long way back into just an even pace; off this race alone, you suspect she could take a step forward for the additional 1/16 miles today, especially if the pace is strong. Note: although she was squeezed at the start last time, it was fairly inconsequential considering her running style.

–        #2 FIRE AT MIDNIGHT (on turf, trailed throughout; returns off bench today); #3 BOYS GO TO JUPITER (inconsequentially broke inwards, chased pace ~3W into turn, failed to rally down center in lane); and #4 LUMINOUS SECRET (broke alertly, chased even pace between horses to turn, dropped back a little bend, then stayed on willingly for 2nd; no excuse as 3/5 fav but a solid try nonetheless), all sat perfectly fine trips in their respective last starts and were ridden through the line – their results/speed figs seem fair.

Race 2: OC20k/SAL20k, 4YO+, 1 Mile, Dirt

HORSE RACE TRIP NOTE
#2 TELL ‘EM I’M COMIN Starter Allowance, LRL, 1M, Muddy Dirt, 03/07/26 – 4th No speed; chased modest pace from ~15L back; rail turn, stayed on evenly for 4th through lane. He can be awarded either an upgrade or pass for this non-threatening 4th as he was trying to close into a modest pace on a heavily speed favoring track; suspect he can improve on this try under more favorable circumstances today.
#3 PARTY WITH SMARTY Starter Allowance, LRL, 1M, Muddy Dirt, 03/07/26 – 2nd Unhurried off modest early pace; advanced inside turn; cut corner into lane, then stayed on gamely for 2nd but had no chance with winner. Exiting the same race as #2 TELL ‘EM I’M COMIN, he too was tasked with closing into a modest pace on a heavily speed favoring track; suspect he too can improve on this try under more favorable conditions.
#5 GAELICHEARTOFGOLD Starter Allowance, LRL, 6F, Muddy Dirt, 03/07/26 – 3rd No speed from rail; under pressure chasing slow pace into lane, then stayed on willingly for show. In similar fashion to the two listed above, he had no pace to chase from rear (speed held well in this contest) and he was racing against the heavy speed bias, yet still managed to close into 3rd (UPGRADE). Suspect that we can see an improved effort from him this afternoon as he makes his second start off the bench, up in trip with more favorable conditions forecast.
Other notes:

–        #1 BRINDANO (bumped start, no speed, chased even pace from a long way back into lane, then rallied nicely towards center; stretches back out today which could suit); and #4 BRIGHTY (stalked honest pace ~3W to ½, advanced into lead, under pressure to hold advantage while remaining ~3-4W into lane, then stayed on willingly to wire; outrageously DQ’d for supposedly boring out ¼ which did not happen (!); returns off short rest today), both sat perfectly fine trips in their respective last starts and were ridden through the line – their results/speed figs seem fair.

Race 3: Maiden Claiming 12.5k, 4-6YO (F), 5 ½ Furlongs, Dirt

HORSE RACE TRIP NOTE
Other notes:

–        We could well see #2 CHESTERTOWN JANE step back in the right direction following her last start in October (5 1/2F, LRL, 10/04/26 – 5th): she broke poorly and failed to adopt her preferred forward tactics, then rushed up to get into contention ~4W, chased the leaders to the ¼, then floated out a little and tired – it was not a favorable trip for her as a front runner by trade; the effort was then followed by a layoff too, suggesting that something may have been amiss. Her prior efforts seem a more accurate reflection of her ability, although it should be noted that her two-back effort (rode a speed bias) needs downgrading.

–        #2 VALERIE STREET was facing an uphill battle last time (6F, LRL, 11/08/26 – 3rd) as she was chasing a slow pace set by the 2/5 winner on a speed bias track. Saying that, however, she was prominently positioned while saving ground throughout in the nine horse field – did her trip and the track help her hold 3rd? Returns off layoff today with lasix and blinkers on.

–        #4 CASHPOINT again failed to stay a mile last time (1M, PEN, 12/18/26 – 5th); she could be seen to better effect back sprinting off the layoff today.

–        #5 GREATWHITEFLEET tracked the modest pace, shifted out turn and came ~4W into the lane, then stayed on willingly for a clear 2nd – a good trip; result/speed fig seem fair. Makes debut for Farrior today.

Race 4: OC20k/SAL20k, 4YO+, 1 Mile, Dirt

HORSE RACE TRIP NOTE
Other notes:

–        #2 TASTY TIME was only hand ridden through the lane last out (6F, LRL, 03/06/26 – 1st), offering hope that she might be capable of more again today, although her gallop out was only okay and the stretch out in distance remains a question mark. The fact that she was positioned close to a modest early pace seems fairly irrelevant, because she was simply much the best at 3/5.

–        #1 MARGARET P (chased contested pace on rail into lane, evenly; gallop out not strong enough to confidently say she’ll improve for added distance today); #3 SHE’S NOT A LAD (set even fractions on rail inside TASTY TIME, dismissed that foe ¼, then drew off lane; gallop out was poor, raising concerns about the stretch out today); #4 DIAMOND SUE (broke sharp from rail and led into first turn but did not want lead and was heavily restrained off pace, stalked inside to far turn, then faded despite continuing to try hard; drops in class and distance today, both of which should be to her benefit); and #5 CHICKEN LICKIN (outrun rail; should be suited by stretch back out second off bench, but does need to improve), all sat perfectly fine trips in their respective last starts and were ridden through the line – their results/speed figs seem fair.

Race 5: MSW, 3YO (F), 6 Furlongs, Dirt

HORSE RACE TRIP NOTE
#3 SERENITY SONG MSW, LRL, 5 1/2F, Fast Dirt, 03/01/26 – 2nd Pinched, steadied start; patiently handled 6-7L off slow pace inside to 3/8; steadily improved behind foes racing to top of lane; switched out into 6P off turn; then closed on left lead while drifting in a little through lane, missed. She had no pace to close into in this race, and lost a little momentum (possibly enough to cost her the win) when shifting off heels and searching for a run at the top of the lane – UPGRADE. Having also shown signs of greenness/inexperience, drifting in through the lane on her left lead, we should see a greatly improved effort second out with natural improvement and a better setup forecast.
#6 BUTLER ROAD MSW, LRL, 5 1/2F, Fast Dirt, 03/01/26 – 4th Stalked slow pace on rail to ½, then steadied very slightly; was prevented from building the required momentum when boxed in on rail racing to top of lane, then found split and finished evenly inside. Her steady ~1/2m pole was fairly inconsequential in itself, however, it did then mean that she was stuck behind horses on the turn and unable to build as much momentum as would have ideally been the case, especially as the pace was slow (meaning that she really needed to build momentum to kick past the leaders in the lane). Not sure her trip coast her a position, but she can almost certainly improve on this effort under better circumstances second out.
Other notes:

–        #4 SNOW BELLA was not persevered with in the lane when beaten facing restricted stakes foes last time (5 1/2F, CNL, 08/02/25 – 4th), greatly exasperating the margin of defeat. She’s at least capable of more than she showed there. Returns off layoff with first lasix today.

–        #1 HAVE ONE MORE (sluggish early, outrun; gallop out was then okay, hinting he has potential to improve second out; maybe needs further?); and #2 BOOST (broke like a shot, angled sharply across to rail, set pace while clear into lane, then stayed on willingly but was run down; solid run off layoff in treacherous conditions, might strip fitter today with lasix added), both sat perfectly fine trips in their respective last starts and were ridden through the line – their results/speed figs seem fair.

Race 6: Claiming 7.5k, 4YO+, 6 Furlongs, Dirt

HORSE RACE TRIP NOTE
#5 TINY LAKE Claiming 7.5k, LRL, 5 1/2F, Muddy Dirt, 03/06/26 – 4th Away slowly in rear; chased slow pace from last into the turn; drifted out from ~3/8 and came 7W into lane, then finished evenly. He had no pace to close into from rear and also lost a considerable amount of ground coming 7W into the lane (although the outside was the place to be this day). An extra 1/16, a faster pace to run at and a more ground saving trip can see him improve on this effort today.
#7 KBCYA LATER Claiming 7.5k, LRL, 5 1/2F, Muddy Dirt, 03/06/26 – 3rd Broke out and bumped start; dropped back to stalk slow pace into turn; under pressure rail turn, then stayed on willingly inside through the lane. Exiting the same race as TINY LAKE, he too can likely improve on this effort today as he was also trying to close into a slow early tempo, and he spent the majority of the race on the “dead” inside rail, both of which were factors that hindered his chance to make up ground.
Other notes:

–        #1 PROM KNIGHT took a step back in the right direction last time (6F, LRL, 03/13/26 – 4th), though you do wonder whether him sitting relatively close to a modest early pace on a speed bias track helped him hold fourth late? Ideally need to see it again from him.

–        Although bumped and squeezed at the start last time, there wasn’t really a visible reason as to why #4 UNIWINNER ran so poorly last time (6F, LRL, 03/13/26 – 10th), and the speed bias seemed negligible in his case. Surely too bad to be true? He needs to bounce back today.

–        #6 B WEST lost ground racing very wide (~6-7W- UPGRADE) from the 5/16 pole into the stretch last out (7F, LRL, 01/23/26) but it doesn’t fully explain why he ran 11 points slower on the Beyer scale than he had the last twice (he could probably have been a little more aggressively ridden from the gate). Drops in class and returns to 6F today.

–        #2 PIT STOP MAN (chased even pace ~3W and failed to progress lane; returns to Farrior today); and #3 TUFF CONSTITUTION (stalked slow pace inside tightly bunched field on rail, improved position turn, tipped out ¼ and edged away lane, despite failing to switch leads), both sat perfectly fine trips in their respective last starts and were ridden through the line – their results/speed figs seem fair.

Race 7: OC62k/N1X Allowance, 3YO, 6 Furlongs, Dirt

HORSE RACE TRIP NOTE
Other Notes:

–        #1 FLIRTY BAJAN (broke sharp, pressed even pace 2W to 5/16, took over and opened up through lane, despite drifting out a little; possibly won with something in hand); #2 SLAY SADIE SLAY (in a touch tight start, trailed throughout, no factor; cuts back today); #3 BUD’S NOTION (forced out start; pulled hard chasing fast fractions 2-3W, took over 5/16 and led into lane, lost lead 3/16, stuck to task willingly to wire; solid return off bench); #4 CASEOFTHEMONDAYS set even fractions on a pressured lead 2W to 7/16, took command and held lead into lane, clear upper, then stayed on willingly through the lane but was no match); #5 PALACIOS (broke in from rail, settled tracking even pace inside, switched out 3/8 pole, lost a little ground circling with good energy 5W into lane, took over 1/8 and powered away; much the best having clearly benefited from addition of lasix); and #6 OUR DAY WILL COME (inconsequentially brushed gate, settled, tracked even pace alongside winner 2W to turn, advanced ~3W turn, took 2nd top of stretch, then failed to improve further and weakened late), all sat perfectly fine trips in their respective last starts and were ridden through the line – their results/speed figs seem fair.

Race 8: Claiming 7.5k, 4YO+ (F), 7 Furlongs, Dirt

HORSE RACE TRIP NOTE
#2 BUGGED OUT Claiming 7.5k, PEN, 1M 70Y, Fast Dirt, 03/18/26 – 3rd Broke sharp despite bumping with rival, then heavily restrained off pace; pulled hard first turn, then dropped back and chased honest tempo from 4-6L back to far turn; advanced slightly despite racing 4W far turn, then stayed on willingly at an even pace through the lane. Not sure how this route form translates into today’s contest, however, she can be awarded some extra credit for this try owing to the fact that she was racing against the heavy speed bias and also lost a little ground when wide on the far turn. Her current level of ability might be higher than this effort suggests. Returns off short rest today.
Other notes:

–        Once again, there was no visible reason as to why #3 GINGER GIRL ran so far below form last time (1M, LRL, 03/20/26 – 7th); she needs much more off another short turnaround today.

–        #4 BABY SOX was no factor last time (7F, LRL, 02/22/26 – 5th) and her finishing effort was poor, which ever way you slice it; however, she also had little pace to run at and came wide into the lane, so there’s a decent chance she can offer more today.

–        #5 KISSED AT DAWN didn’t have that much of an excuse last time (6F, LRL, 03/08/26 – 4th); however, she did race wider on the turn that the re-opposing #1 INFASTUTATION (who sat a perfectly fine trip: contested even pace between rivals early, inside turn, drifted out off bend and evened out late), and there’s probably less between them than the 2 1/4L margin suggests.

Horses to Follow

R2: PARTY WITH SMARTY (2/1 ML)

PARTY WITH SMARTY made his first start routing with lasix on last time and ran better than the PPs suggest, closing against a strong speed bias and on a “dead” rail to beat today’s morning-line favorite BRIGHTY, who had a far more favorable trip. While his 1-for-28 lifetime record is somewhat unattractive, he does retain upside routing with lasix and looks capable of improving on his recent 64 Beyer with a stronger pace to run at over a fairer track surface. Trainer Jamie Ness looks to have found a very winnable spot here, and he could prove tough to beat.

R5: SERENITY SONG (6/5 ML)

Although beaten as the even-money favorite, SERENITY SONG showed plenty of promise on debut. Steadied and bothered at the start, she closed into a slow pace despite having to shift wide off the home turn and showing signs of greenness through the lane, drifting in on her left lead. With natural progression expected second time out, and a more favorable trip and setup highly likely, she could easily take a big step forward off what is already the fastest speed figure in today’s fifth, making her a logical single in the second leg of the Value Late Pick-5. Note: in MSW dirt sprints, Brittany and Sheldon Russell have a 56% strike rate (9-for-16; 88% ITM) with second-time starters who hit the board on debut.
