Aqueduct – Race 1
#3 WILL E SUTTON (9/5 ml)
Million-dollar yearling purchase for Jonathan Thomas worked back on Dec 12 with ALL MO, a horse I had backed a couple of weeks earlier in his Aqueduct debut on Nov 28 (finished third @ 6/1 odds). Immediately following that drill, WILL E SUTTON worked with TILL THEN, an older 5yo barnmate who has won 2 straight races since that drill (with both wins coming at Turfway, more on that in a moment). Subsequent to that, WILL E SUTTON worked heads-up 4 times in a row with BE HERE, an unraced Ghostzapper colt whose most recent drill was recorded at Turfway. Obviously, if WILL E SUTTON runs well here as expected, keep an eye out for BE HERE in the Turfway entries, as he should be turning up shortly. Worth noting that rider Chris Landeros was aboard for both of TILL THEN’s Turfway wins. Back to WILL E SUTTON, following the multiple drills with BE HERE (which included a best-of-66 bullet from the gate), he worked heads-up with NICKY THE VEST in a 2nd-of-101 drill. NICKY THE VEST was last seen winning his Aqueduct debut by open lengths (in gate-to-wire fashion) back on Dec. 18. All systems go.
