Maiden Focus for Aqueduct/Keeneland (Saturday, April 10)

0-for-1 on Friday, with EL KABONG finishing third @ 4/1 odds.

Aqueduct – Race 2

#4 MO GIRL (8/1 ml)

Expensive yearling purchase for the capable first-out trainer Jonathan Thomas comes into this race having worked at least a half-dozen times with SIRANEUSE, who won by 5 lengths in her one-mile debut @ Turfway Park last month. Following those drills, MO GIRL worked with SONG OF INNOCENCE, who won a similar race in January before finishing third in a $50k optional claimer last month. Appears live here at the big price.

Keeneland – Race 11

#3 SIX PACK (5/1 ml)

Second-time starter for Wayne Catalano debuted in a good Fair Grounds race last month, breaking very slowly after getting squeezed back leaving the gate, but then working his way up to challenge shortly after that with an eye-catching outside move that unfortunately cost him a lot of ground and a good bit of early energy. Stuck to his task and appeared very game, and the race was flattered when second-place finisher SHADOW MATTER returned to win here @ Keeneland last weekend (1:16.62). SIX PACK came out of that race to work with older 3-time winner WINTER SUNSET, who was last seen running in the Tom Benson Memorial Stakes. Rider John Velazquez (1-for-2 with Catalano) gets the call; expecting a good run here.

Maiden Focus record:
Win record: 31-for-119 (26% winners)
Total mutuels: $261.60 ($8.44 average win price)
