Very interesting horse debuting for Chad Brown here, as this guy had worked multiple times last year with the older Grade 1 winner VALID POINT, who was last seen running second in the Artie Schiller Stakes @ Aqueduct last November. Obviously something went wrong with ST. JOE LOUIS as he disappeared for a very long time, but he comes into this race with a nice long series of drills, including multiple drills with PRINCIPLED STAND, who came out of those works to win a similar one-mile turf race by 7 lengths here at Tampa Bay Downs on Jan 8. ST. JOE LOUIS has also worked recently with the older stakes horse GREAT ISLAND, who was last seen running second in the Via Borghese Stakes @ Gulfstream last month. Appears live.
