AQUEDUCT – 12/10/21

RACE 1: 8-7-1-5

#8 PRINTRACK is a second time starter taking an enormous class drop after debuting against a solid field of MSW runners.  Among those rivals on debut was eventual Remsen winner Mo Donegal.  This gelding had good early speed in that affair and should be on the engine again.

RACE 2: 1-5-2-3

#1 HIGH SCHOOL CRUSH raced against the grain of the track in two prior dirt tries, then was badly pace compromised in her last dirt try back in July.  She will be a square price here while her new trainer has gotten her into top form.  She has the ability to sit back and make one run too.

RACE 3: 2-5-7-1

#2 CARTWHEEL has improved since being claimed by Mertkan Kantarmaci and should be in a good spot from just off the pace.  She has done some of her best work here at Aqueduct and exits a fast paced race in her most recent outing.  Look for her to stalk and pounce here.

RACE 4: 4-6-3-5

The likelihood of a rapid pace will help the chances of #4 MERCHANTS OF COOL.  This gelding was claimed for 50k and is now in for 14k, which is hardly a positive sign, but he has faced significantly tougher in his two most recent outings.  If things heat up, expect him to be a serious threat in the lane.

RACE 5: 12-6-10-7

The class drop for #12 KOOSMAN is too significant to overlook and this gelding was compromised by a wide trip last time out at Belmont.  He was 4-5 wide the whole way and the rail was the place to be that day, so he has a real excuse.  This is a much softer field as well.

RACE 6: 5-3-4-8

#5 COFFEE BAR returns off a layoff after trying stakes company on Travers eve in the Fleet Indian.  The rail was the place to be on that card and this daughter of Outwork was wide the entire way.  She has a valid excuse for the poor effort and looms a serious threat on the drop in here.

RACE 7: 1-3-7-11

In a particularly tough affair, #1 BUSTIN SHOUT looks interesting switching surfaces.  He showed speed last time out on the turf before tiring and figures to be actively involved from the start again.  The 6.5 furlong trip is a bit of a concern, but he has the right running style for this affair.

RACE 8: 11-2-7-8

#8 BAIL OUT THE BANK is a second time starter who debuted against tougher and now drops down to the 25k level.  This barn does far better with second time starters and there’s reason to believe this gelding will improve.  He should have more speed as well with a cleaner break.

AQUEDUCT FALL STATS: 8-2-1-2                    $12.50
