AQUEDUCT – 11/11/22
RACE 1: 9-1-3-4
#9 PROVISION is the one to catch after snagging another 2nd place finish last time out for trainer George Weaver. If Manny Franco rides him aggressively, he is a very likely winner in wire-to-wire fashion.
RACE 2: 2-5-1-3
#2 OPPORTUNITY SET is a firster by Classic Empire, whose progeny hit at a 10% clip on debut and is out of a dam who was a winner. She has dropped a couple of winners and the workouts here are apparently strong.
RACE 3: 4-5-8-1
#4 GRAPE NUTS WARRIOR is capable of staying closer in the opening stages of this affair, which is completely devoid of pace. He was a good second last time out at 3-1 against similar foes and should improve second off the layoff. These are scenarios where Irad Ortiz, Jr. usually makes the right decisions.
RACE 4: 5-7-1-3
The Pick 6 sequence starts with a carryover here and #5 STEERAGE is the one to beat. He was dropped to this level last time out and immediately improved. The lead is his for the taking and there’s reason to take a stand against some of the runners from the 5th race on October 7 that re-surface here.
RACE 5: 5-6-3-7
#5 TOUGH STREET should be way too much for them here as the main speed. The only other potential pace player in the field scratched and that leaves this daughter of Speightster in position to control right from the outset.
RACE 6: 2
What is there to say? #2 TALK TO THE NATION is a firster by Quality Road, whose progeny hit at a 15% clip. He is out of a multiple stake winner as well.

RACE 7: 4-8-7-2
#4 RHYMES LIKE DIMES ran very well over a wet surface two starts back at the Spa and now returns off a layoff similar to the one he came back from that day. Trainer Saffie Joseph, Jr. is 26% with dirt routers off 60-120 day breaks over the last 5 years ($2.34 ROI).
RACE 8: 2-1-6-5
#2 PIECE OF MY HEART is supposed to get the best setup in this field given the way things figure to unfold on paper. She is a late running type who was too close to the pace last time out and it hurt her chances. The price should be appealing as well today.
RACE 9: 2-8-6-3
#2 B C GLORY DAYS was wide early last time out before moving inside last time out. That was a day where the rail was best and this son of Brody’s Cause is capable of rebounding today given his improving recent form. The main players in here hardly inspire any confidence either.
