Nick Tammaro’s Aqueduct Analysis – Saturday, February 6

AQUEDUCT – 2/6/2021

RACE 1: 5-6-3-2

#5 CLEVER FELLOW is the one to beat at a very short price off a lengthy layoff for Chad Brown.  He should have cleared the maiden ranks when narrowly beaten here almost a year ago and is in line to graduate today.

RACE 2: 6-2-7-1

#6 NUMBER ONE DILLON was a good second when last seen at this level and now goes 2nd off a claim by high percentage conditioner Rob Atras.  He has a versatile running style and can be forwardly placed here.

RACE 3: 1/1A-3-6

Either half of the entry of #1 NEEDACATCALLLOUIE and #1A STREETCAR JONES would be deserving of favoritism if entered on their own.  The fact they are coupled only makes the pairing an even likelier winner.

RACE 4: 6-1-3-5

#6 HAPPY FARM is the speed of the speed dropping in class 2nd off a layoff.  He is a dreaded “ex-Jason Servis” trainee but has some excuses for his poor effort last time and is now in an ideal spot class-wise.

RACE 5: 4-8-3-1

#4 PRINCIPAL DANCER comes in for the white hot H. James Bond, who has wins on the last two cards and should have had another this afternoon.  This veteran can be positioned anywhere early and ran a much better race than it looks on paper in his last start.

RACE 6: 3-1-6-4

#3 DEVIOUS MO cuts back in distance while dropping in class and figures to be a major threat in the stretch today.  Between he and #1 KIKKERLAND you have enough coverage in the Pick 5.

RACE 7: 7-4-3-6

#7 CHEATHAM HILL raced along the slower inside paths last time out and now faces a weaker field with an ideal outside post.  The upgrade at pilot to apprentice Luis Cardenas is noteworthy as well.

RACE 8: 5-2-7-3

#5 RISK TAKING is a winner at the trip and should get a strong pace to run at in the late stages today.  You’ll have to swallow a shorter price than you’d like to with this type, but the connections earn extra attention

RACE 8: 2-6-3-4

#2 EARNED SUCCESS is the one to catch against an overmatched field and should be very tough if left to his own devices on the front end.
