AQUEDUCT – 3/13/22

RACE 1: 2-3-1-5

#2 FORESTWOOD LANE had dead aim on the leaders last time out and came up wanting, but continued to improve.  He gets more ground today and should be in range from the start.  The lack of quality in this field will lead to him being a very short price.

RACE 2: 5-1-3

#5 COVER PHOTO has run well in the past for small-time barns and is now in the care of Mike Miceli.  This daughter of Munnings has good speed and should be involved from the outset.  Her best races would make her very tough to handle.

RACE 3: 3-4-1

The last two efforts from #3 PRINTRACK are simply way too good for this field.  He cuts back in distance today and should be in stalk and pounce range from the start.  Anything close to his last few performances would make him tough to handle.

RACE 4: 5-9-4-8

#5 MOONS THE LIMIT is a major pace player in here and should be involved from the start.  He gets in light and was buried inside last time out before weakening.  This is a reasonable spot to land in search of an alternative to the favorite.

RACE 5: 1-3-5-6

#1 BALTASAR drops in class for his new trainer.  This son of Bodemeister is also a new gelding and is in the right spot class-wise.  Trainer Rob Atras has also had a typically strong winter and will have this one ready off the trainer change.

RACE 6: 4-1-5

The ability to sit off the pace and pounce makes #4 AGILITY interesting in this spot.  He showed serious ability from early in his career and was a respectable second behind a multiple stakes winner last time out.  If the two favorites engage in an early battle, he’ll be in line to benefit.

RACE 7: 1-7-3-5

#1 IFIHADACHANCE was stuck inside last time out and could not produce a final move.  She now goes 2nd off a layoff and gets an upgrade at pilot to the journeyman Manny Franco.  Her best races make her a contender.

RACE 8: 3-6-7-4

#3 STORM SHOOTER was involved in a white-hot pace last time out that collapsed late.  He can be effective sitting just off the pace and is the right alternative to the favorites in this affair.  If he can run back to his better races he’s a major player.

RACE 9: 3-4-7-10

Graduation day is long overdue for #3 BOOM BOOM KABOOM, who drops back in for a tag.  He has the speed to stay involved from the start and meets a much weaker field than what he faced last time out.
