AQUEDUCT – 11/14/21

RACE 1: 6-7-4-5

#6 PRIMA DELLA drops in class after racing wide on a day where the inside was the place to be at Belmont.  If she can get more involved early, it will undoubtedly help her chances.  You’ll get a square price here as well.

RACE 2: 3-2-7-8

#3 DAMILANO returns off a brief break after racing well off a slow pace last time out at Saratoga.  He has no speed, and that is a problem, but this pace could be contested enough to help his chances.

RACE 3: 7-2-5-1/1A

#7 ABAAN is clearly the one to beat fresh off a runner-up finish going 12 panels at Belmont.  The lead is likely his for the taking, and this son of Will Take Charge has improved by leaps and bounds since moving to the lawn.

RACE 4: 3-5-6-7

#3 BUCKORTWO ran better than #5 SANDRONE last time out, and clearly improved from a debut where he went wide when saving ground was essential.  This should be graduation day for a gelding that is bred to excel on the weeds and with experience.

RACE 5: 5-2-1/1A-3

#5 SUBSIDIARY is a major pace threat second off a claim by Juan Vazquez.  This mare will be a square price at the windows and has back form that makes her quite formidable.  If she is left alone on the front end, she just might forget to quit.

RACE 6: 2-5-7-4

#2 SWINTON is the one to catch at second asking for trainer AC Avila after showing huge speed on debut.  He was claimed for 25k out of that affair and is a threat to go the distance, even on a jump in class.  Look for him to come out swinging.

RACE 7: 7-9-6-3

#7 COTTON is likely better sprinting given the way he finished in his runner-up finish behind #1 THUNDERBIRD CAFÉ in a MSW event back in May.  He cuts back in distance and should be moving well late given the expected pace in this affair.  You’ll get a good price too in a super competitive affair.

RACE 8: 7-6-11-4

#7 MISS DRACARYS is a major pace player stretching out in distance off a stakes try when she was given a subpar ride.  She is a threat to go the distance in here as her best race to date was a two turn affair at Monmouth.  Here’s to hoping for aggressive tactics.

RACE 9: 3-4-11-8

#3 BONUS BABY changes surfaces for Jeremiah Englehart after faring poorly last time out at Laurel going long on the lawn.  She scored on a turf-to-dirt move back in January and now makes the same move for a barn that is 3 for its last 13 in this category ($3.65 ROI).
