AQUEDUCT – 2/24/22

RACE 1: 6-5-1-3

#6 INOUAINTALKINTOME is drawn well on the outside to stalk and pounce as she gets journeyman Kendrick Carmouche in the irons.  She has improved since moving to dirt and meets the softest field she has faced yet in here.

RACE 2: 1-5-6-7

#1 LEFT LEANING LUCY was a tad too close to the inside last time out on a wet track and now goes 3rd off the bench on a dry strip.  This mare faced much better last time out and should offer value in a race where the favorites do not inspire confidence.

RACE 3: 2-3-7-8

#2 POTANTICO has the speed to be involved from the start and gets in light once again.  This gelding battled from start to finish last time out in a solid effort and an also-ran from that affair came back to win here on Monday.  This 6YO is a threat go to the distance on the front end.

RACE 4: 4-5-6-8

#4 COLLOQUY has a strong NY bred pedigree being by Flatter (11% debut sire) out of a dam who won 9 times and was multiple stakes placed.  The worktab here looks strong and runners wintering in Florida generally take well to the cooler NY climate.  Tab the tote action early.

RACE 5: 3-4-8-2

The trip endured by #3 BEYOND BEST last time out was bad enough to make him the favorite here.  He was out of the gate poorly, made multiple moves and wound up stuck behind a slow pace.  This should be the right trip for him given his running style.

RACE 6: 6-1-4-7

Before going to the sidelines, #6 DR ARDITO showed serious promise in two outings.  He’s now fresh as a new gelding and should be set for a strong effort.  The rivals he ran into in two prior outings were all solid and he seems to be training forwardly for this engagement.

RACE 7: 3-4-5-6

#3 PIECE OF MY HEART goes first off a claim by Danny Gargan and is a “fresh face” in here having spent the majority of her career in the Midwest.  She has tactical speed and should be within range from the outset.  This barn has historically been good off the claim.

RACE 8: 9-4-1-7

#9 ROOSKI was a solid second last time out at this level and has held her form well since moving to dirt.  She has good tactical speed and can be within range from the start.  Her price should be fair as well.
