AQUEDUCT – 9/15/22

RACE 1: 1-2-5-6

#1 THE MEAN QUEEN looms a heavy favorite as she returns from a lengthy break in a prep for later season engagements.

RACE 2: 1-5-7-8

#1 SNAP DECISION is the king of this division until dethroned.  He was a smashing winner last time out at Saratoga and they can’t seem to heap too much weight on his back and have any effect.

RACE 3: 7-5-1-4

#7 OH DONNA is the one to beat given her debut performance for trainer Ray Handal.  She was away from the gate poorly and lost position before battling on a hot pace and settling for fourth.  Improvement off of that debut would make her very tough to handle.

RACE 4: 3-6-7-1

If pace makes the race then #3 RUSE will be very tough to beat this afternoon.  He is the lone speed on paper and exits a strong performance where he stalked the pace on the outside before getting run down late.  His recent form has been particularly strong as well.

RACE 5: 5-4-6-1

Despite debuting on turf, #5 LUPO’S LEGACY has trained very well on dirt and is deserving of one more chance.  The field he ran into on turf on debut was solid and he came out of it to post another bullet drill.  The experienced runners in here hardly inspire confidence.

RACE 6: 4-3-8-7

#4 SWEETEST PRINCESS ran a bang-up race on debut and should improve with experience.  Trainer George Weaver is 17% with 2nd time starters on turf in MSW races ($2.89 ROI).  The poor break wrecked her chances in the unveiling and she now draws inside having gained invaluable experience.

RACE 7: 8-3-4-10

#8 MISS TAPIRADO is dangerous on the cutback in distance.  While this has been just a modest angle for trainer Bill Mott, she has the speed to be effective going shorter and should be a fair price in a competitive heat.  The key here is betting against #1 TUSCAN QUEEN, who will get plenty of support at the windows off a perfect trip last time out.

RACE 8: 8-3-6-1

If #8 MONEY SUPPLY is basically given away for 40k he will be an overwhelming favorite and very likely winner.  His last race was competitive, and it came against considerably better competition.  His outside draw is ideal given the trip.

RACE 9: 7-5-1-8

#7 CAPTAINSDAUGHTER got off to a fast start last time out then was immediately wrangled back off the pace.  The inside paths were better that day and she was wide the entire trip.  That’s enough to give her a long look here at a price.

RACE 10: 8-6-7-5

We missed the wedding with #8 THEREGOESMYMIRACLE even if he ended up getting caught on the wire.  He’ll now be a fraction of the price going a shorter trip and should be prominent from the outset.  Look for him to be in stalk and pounce range from the outset.
