AQUEDUCT 1/12/23
RACE 4: 1A-5-8-6
#1A AUNT BERRA faced much better on debut and showed some early life before fading. She was on the rail that day, and the majority of the best moves came on the outer paths. The addition of Lasix and blinkers should only sharpen her up this afternoon.
RACE 5: 4-1-2-6
#4 GOOD MORNING KISS made her first dirt start last time out and showed speed before fading late. She gets Lasix here and is in for a tag for the first time, both of which should lead to an improved effort. This field does not look like much on paper.
RACE 6: 9-8-2-4
The last effort from #9 MAJESTIC TIGER was much better than it looks on paper as he fought on gamely to the wire. He’s in light once again with Jason Huayas aboard and can be a tad closer early having sprinted last time. The lack of pace in here makes that a necessity in order to win.
RACE 7: 5-3-4-1
#5 MERCY MERCY was an impressive winner last time out first off the claim and has been training for this engagement at Fair Hill. These connections have had some success in NY and this gal has the right running style for this affair given that she can be forwardly placed.
RACE 8: 5-1-3-6
One of the more interesting horses on this card is #5 LONDON GOLD. While trainer Randi Persaud has had a strong run of late, this gal quietly ran an improved race last time out. She was close to a hot pace early and never really gave up. She can be a threat here on the rider switch back to last year’s winning pilot.
