AQUEDUCT – 1/6/23
RACE 1: 1-4-6-2
#1 UNCORRELATED is a firster by Arrogate (7% debut sire) and is out of a stakes placed 2YO dam. The rail is a negative, but this barn has had plenty of success with debuting runners. The worktab signals his readiness and he is likely to be the favorite.
RACE 2: 5-6-4-3
#5 JOEY THE FISH drops in class for George Weaver and has been in for a tag just once before. She has been ineffective in recent starts, but poor breaks from the gate have dogged her in her last two outings. Eric Cancel needs to keep her in contact with the field early in order to make any impact late.
RACE 3: 2-5-1-3
#2 HONEST BANKER is a second time starter who scored handily on debut for trainer Rob Atras and now bids to make it 2-2. She is speedy, and that is obviously a positive. This high percentage barn is clicking on all cylinders at the moment and is 32% with dirt sprinters coming off of maiden wins ($2.61 ROI).

RACE 4: 6-3-5-7
In a matchup that is largely between #3 BOURBON CHASE and #6 LIFETIME OF CHANCE, siding with the latter seems sage. He broke like a shot last time out and was quickly wrangled back to rate off the pace. That led to him losing significant ground early and he wound up with too much to do late. This is a great spot for him to clear the maiden ranks with an improved trip.
RACE 5: 5-4-2-7
#5 GAGLIANO faced considerably better competition in her last start and put together a nice late bid to snag the show dough. She is back now in a more reasonable spot class-wise and should get more pace to run at as well. Having the winning pilot from two back aboard also helps.
RACE 6: 5-1-4-6
#5 EAST COAST GIRL drops in for a tag second time out for Kelly Breen after debuting against MSW runners here and showing little. He did show some speed in the unveiling before capitulating abruptly and now gets Lasix and blinkers. The class relief alone should help and this is hardly a deep field.

RACE 7: 5-8-9-3
This is a very interesting spot for #5 ADVANCED STRATEGY, who goes first off a claim by Linda Rice with limited prior opportunities on dirt. He was compromised by a slow pace last time out and wound up putting together a decent late bid to round out the trifecta in a pace-dominated race. This distance is in his wheelhouse, and Rice is 6 for her last 7 off the claim in dirt routes at the Big A.
RACE 8: 3-2-5-8
#2 KANT HURRY LOVE was involved in a hot pace last time out before getting collared late and now returns at the same class level. She was scratched out of a similar spot here a couple of weeks ago and now gets a dry strip to race over for Christophe Clement. The lead is likely hers for the taking and getting it would make her very dangerous.
RACE 9: 5-9-3-4
