AQUEDUCT 3/24/23

RACE 4: 1-3-4-7

#1 ASYMMETRIC was a game winner when last seen in June and now faces a soft group of N1X foes off the bench.  His best races would make him hard to beat and he’s a deserving heavy favorite.

RACE 5: 8-5-4-12

#11 BLUE PAYNT is dropping in class off the claim by Linda Rice, and that is never a particularly encouraging sign.  She did, however, track a white hot pace last out before fading and fits nicely here from a pace stalking spot on the outside.

RACE 6: 1A-10-8-3

#1A CALLALOO was not helped by a particularly great ride last time out and wound up chasing late on a dead rail.  He can improve here if more engaged early, and that is incumbent upon jockey Jorge Vargas, Jr.

RACE 7: 4-3-5-7

#4 MAPLE LEAF MEL is the one to catch off the bench after an auspicious debut to her career.  She is back off a long freshening and fits nicely here against stakes foes that look overmatched on paper.

RACE 8: 9-10-2-4

#9 FOREVER AMY is interesting having chased the pace outside last time out on a day where the rail was good.  She is a pace player here and should be a square price in a competitive affair.  This barn is long overdue to get rolling at this stand.
