AQUEDUCT 3/11/23

RACE 1: 2-3

#2 WARMAN ROAD is a second timer adding Lasix for the red-hot Rob Atras.  He showed plenty of speed on debut before fading and should benefit from having a race under his belt.

RACE 2: 6-4-2-3

#6 GANDY DANCING moves up in class for trainer Oscar Barrera off a solid recent effort and looks to be rounding back into top form.  He is drawn well on the outside and in light, so there’s reason to believe he can contend at a price in a super competitive field.

RACE 3: 1-5-6-3

#1 BREW PUB has had a very hard time winning races, but often gets into contention.  He has the speed to stay within range from the rail and fits nicely from a class perspective.  You’ll get a square price here as well.

RACE 4: 3-4-7-5

#3 BE BEST is a firster from the barn of John Terranova who is out of a stakes winning dam.  She is kin to a couple of winners and needn’t be much to contend in this weaker than par MSW affair.

RACE 5: 7-6-5-1

#7 MAMA’S GOLD is back on short rest off a poor effort against a tougher field.  She is now the main speed in a race where she’ll be dangerous if able to contend on the front end.  The weight break doesn’t hurt either.

RACE 6: 1-2-7-5

#1 DOCTOR LOVE drops significantly in class for trainer Tom Morley and cuts back in distance.  This son of Cairo Prince is a good fit at this distance given the issues he’s had finishing of late.  The competition is also far weaker than what he’s faced of late.

RACE 7: 7-3-1-6

The expected solid pace will work to the advantage of #7 CUPIDS GIRL.  She does her best running late and should be able to sit back and make one run.  The issue she has is winning races, so Kendrick Carmouche will have to keep her to task.

RACE 8: 7-4-6-1

#7 PATIENT CAPITAL is the one to beat after setting a hot pace as the main speed last time out.  He hung in there gamely to finish fourth and now fits this event very well.  The presence of Manny Franco is also a good thing.

RACE 9: 1-5-3-4

#1 ROSSA VELOCE is clearly the one to beat in her first attempt at stakes glory.  She is quick enough to get command early and trainer Rob Atras is 27% with horses switching off of Lasix over the last five years ($2.89 ROI).

RACE 10: 3-6-10-2

#3 HELICOPTER MONEY is a threat to wire this field off a poor trip last out when chasing outside on a gold rail afternoon.  He retains Manny Franco on a class drop and should be a fair price to boot.
