AQUEDUCT 3/18/23

RACE 4: 6-2-3

#6 FRENCHBORO comes in from Parx for trainer Alan Bedard in search of a 2nd win for a stable that has had success here this winter.  His late closing style isn’t the best fit, but you’ll get some value here in a race where a likely heavy favorite was scratched.

RACE 5: 1-7-4-5

#1 VODKATINI is interesting from the rail off a smashing win at Laurel.  She can benefit from an expected hot pace and gets Kendrick Carmouche for her NY debut.  The quicker they go early, the better for this daughter of Divining Rod.

RACE 6: 6-8-1-5

#6 DREAM ON CARA is a threat on the slight cutback from a mile to seven furlongs after finishing behind a repeat winner.  She gets Lasix for the first time today and should be a player from just off the pace.

RACE 7: 7-8-4-2

#7 FOREVER WICKED is a late threat in a race loaded with speed.  He’s back on short rest after a dull effort here last week against tougher competition, and he was on the wrong part of the racetrack that day to boot.

RACE 8: 1/1A-5-2-4

#1A OUSTER is clearly the one to beat at what should be a minuscule price.  He has come into his own this winter since moving back to dirt and exits a powerful effort behind a highly regarded winner.  If he takes any step forward off that effort he’ll be very tough to handle.

RACE 9: 1-3-2-4

#1 TAPPIN JOSIE just might be the beneficiary of a hot pace in here given the way this race shapes up on paper.  She is a winner of five of her last 6 and looks to be able to run without Lasix.  The value is undoubtedly with this daughter of Anchor Down.

RACE 10: 3-5-7-4

#3 ART OF COURAGE is a second timer who raced against the grain of the track last time out going wide.  He returns for his second start against a solid field, but his trainer, Horacio DePaz, is 33% with 2nd time starters in MSW races on dirt ($3.35 ROI).
