Nick Tammaro’s Aqueduct Selections & Analysis – Thursday, November 17, 2022

AQUEDUCT 11/17/22

RACE 1: 5-4-6-3

#5 SIGNAL FROM NOISE is a very likely winner of the opener coming off a strong debut run behind a runaway repeat winner.  She is drawn favorably outside and should get an ideal stalking trip.

RACE 2: 12-4-13-3

It is never easy to get horses off of Bob Baffert and have success, but #12 SPOOKY LADY is the one to beat off the turf.  Her prior dirt races are simply much better than those of her rivals an she has the speed to be competitive from the outset.

RACE 3: 4-1-3-5

#4 PRAIRIE FIRE goes 2nd off a claim and gets serious class relief for trainer Mertkan Kantarmaci.  She is a versatile daughter of Posse who can race close to the pace and her main rival has some serious question marks.

RACE 4: 15-16-14-4

#15 NEW YORK BANKER has a class edge here coming out of a couple of N1X NY bred events and has an ideal outside draw.  She is quite possibly the main speed in here and that will enable Trevor McCarthy to place her forwardly from the outset.  All signs point to her being a decent price as well.

RACE 5: 8-1/1A-6-3

#8 WARRIOR IN CHIEF ran the best race last time out and is a horse you want to try here given the rapid improvement for new trainer Ray Handal.  There isn’t as much speed in here as there was originally, but this veteran should get a fair setup.

RACE 6: 7-12-3-11

You have to give #7 TWEAQUED one try for trainer Ray Handal given her prior dirt efforts.  She seems a bit better on the lawn but was stuck inside three back on the main track at the Spa, and that’s rarely the place to be.  There’s plenty of pace in here which should set up her late bid.

RACE 7: 10-1-6-9

#10 FREE CHICKENS goes first off a claim after handily dismissing her rivals in a 20k maiden claimer last time out.  She draws well on the outside and has found an outrageously weak field, even for the N2L level.  Look for her to control this thing from the start.

RACE 8: 4-7-8-1

#4 UNIQUE UNIONS was best last time out and continues to improve for trainer Rick Schosberg.  He figures to be positioned just off the pace while in light today and has upside in a race where the more seasoned runners have some question marks.

RACE 9: 9-6-10-1A

#9 CENTRAL LOVE is dropping back in for a tag after getting into some trouble last time out against much tougher.  He has shown enough in two prior tries to get extra consideration here, and this generally low percentage barn has had an excellent late summer and fall.
