BELMONT – 6/27/2021

RACE 1: 1-2-3

#1 ALBIE has good tactical speed and an ideal inside post position for trainer Danny Gargan.  He drops in class out of a couple of solid NY Bred affairs and should be involved from start to finish.

RACE 2: 1/1A-4-6

The coupled entry of #1 COLORMEPAZZI and #1A TAPIZEARANCE looks formidable in that either half are capable of winning.  The former is quicker off the mark and figures to get command in this affair with the scratch of the rival to his inside.

RACE 3: 1-4-3

#1 SUMMER SILENCE was a non-factor on dirt last time out, but ran a winning race two starts back going this trip.  He has good tactical speed and can be in range from the outset.  The field he meets today is softer than the one he did two starts back.

RACE 4: 4-3-6

The Pick 6 kicks off with a big carryover and #4 NINTH HOUR appears to be a very likely winner.  He ran down a longshot loose on the lead last time out and has maintained solid form for trainer Chris Englehart.  Look for him to stalk and pounce today.

RACE 5: 6-2-4

#6 MISS TEHERAN narrowly missed last time out when she tried to rally into a moderate pace and now figures to get a better setup.  She has been tough as nails against allowance company and is a deserving favorite in this spot.

RACE 6: 4-1-8-3

#4 BAR FOURTEEN is back on short rest for trainer Bruce Brown and figures to be on the lead today.  This is the right spot from a distance perspective as 7 furlongs figures to hit him right between the eyes.  Look for him to get command at once.

RACE 7: 4-3-2

#4 TUGGLE returns off a layoff after narrowly missing in two starts at Oaklawn early in 2020.  There’s a good bit of pace signed up in here with two speedsters on either side of him and that will set the table for this son of Point of Entry.

RACE 8: 4-1-3

#4 BREAKPOINT returns off a layoff for trainer Chad Brown and makes his first start for this barn.  He will be treated with Lasix and has shown tremendous ability in his native Chile.  The worktab shows he is of graded stake caliber given that he outfinished multiple Grade I winner Raging Bull in that June 13 drill.

RACE 9: 5-1-10

#5 CALIBOGEE is bred for turf being kin to the 3YO NY bred stakes placed Sinful Dancer.  He is training forwardly for his debut and Irad Ortiz, Jr. gets the call today.  If he runs to his workouts he will have some speed in this affair.
