BELMONT – 6/3/2021

RACE 1: 8-7-3

#8 SEVEN LILLIES was up against the track profile two starts back at Aqueduct then sat back off a slow pace in his most recent start.  There’s an abundance of speed signed on here, and that should set things up perfectly for this veteran son of Rattlesnake Bridge.

RACE 2: 8-7-1-6

#8 QUICK CONVERSATION rallied gamely into a hot pace most recently and showed marked improvement from an encouraging debut.  She’ll be a square price in this bulky field and should be moving well late under turf sprint specialist Joel Rosario.

RACE 3: 6-4-1

#6 REINVESTMENT RISK showed tremendous potential on debut with a handy score at the Spa.  He ended up facing stakes competition right away and finally gets some class relief off the bench.  His running style is versatile and he gets Lasix for the first time.

RACE 4: 8-4-10-3

The pace did not really set up for #8 FAST GORDON last time out when he rallied boldly into a modest tempo going this trip.  He goes 2nd off the bench today and has run two races in a row now that would make him a win candidate.  The quicker they go early, the better for this son of Alpha.

RACE 5: 2-1-6

The opener on April 11 has turned out to be a pretty influential race and #2 AFTER THE PARTY will bid to become the third winner from it.  She showed speed before fading late and starts for a barn that sports a solid record with 2ndtime starters in MSW races on dirt (20%, $1.92 ROI).

RACE 6: 8-2-7

The weather situation is iffy and #8 REGAL GLORY is also entered in Saturday’s Just A Game.  She will be favored here, but will be a big price in that Grade I event on Saturday.  The likelihood of a damp turf course will do nothing to hurt this daughter of Animal Kingdom, as she has excelled over it in the past.

RACE 7: 4-6-2

#4 HAPPY SOUL was a tremendously impressive winner at 2nd asking for trainer Wesley Ward and now bids to add a stakes race to her already formidable resume.  She has ample early speed and meets a particularly weak field in here for a barn that is hitting at a remarkable clip at this meet.

RACE 8: 9-6-10-5

#9 TECHNICAL ANALYSIS has been incredibly impressive in her last two starts, including a handy score against N1X foes in late April.  She sat just off a moderate pace and exploded in the stretch that afternoon beating Caldee, who came right back to win at the same level.  The fact this filly can stay close early is a major weapon in her arsenal.

RACE 9: 1A-2-10-5

#1A MISS BONNIE T has narrowly missed in three straight outings on the turf and meets a weaker field here than she has in any of those events.  Her versatility is a weapon, as she can lay close to the pace, or take back under Johnny Velazquez.

BELMONT STATS: 149-42-25-20               $244.80
