RACE 5: 1/1A-9-5-4
#1A MY SEA COTTAGE is the horse to beat on the cutback in distance for trainer Mark Casse after receiving a passive ride when 3rd going long last time out. He is a candidate to improve on the cutback in distance and has the luxury of a stablemate who is a turf sprinter.
RACE 6: 2-8-3-5
#2 TAX IMPLICATIONS is back off a layoff after a disappointing run at second asking in the Chelsey Flower. She was too far back that day and had issues lugging in late, but the strength of her unveiling makes her a major threat today as the second choice.
RACE 7: 6-3-4-2
#6 HIGHER QUALITY returns on short rest following a claim by this lower percentage stable. In top form at the moment with two straight victories and the outside draw and modicum of early speed makes him a good fit in this heat at this class level.
RACE 8: 7-1-8-4
#7 PIONEERING SPIRIT has shown vast improvement since being claimed by Linda Rice with two straight turf scores. The distance will be no issue and there’s ample early speed signed up to setup his late run.
RACE 9: 6-2-1-4
#6 MOVIE MOXY likely spent too much time on the rail 8 days ago and that was a day when the inside was less than ideal. She draws outside here in a race where the favorites are looking to regain back form. Her good form of late makes her a nice fit as the third choice.
RACE 10: 7-5-3-2
#7 LAKESIDE GETAWAY drops in for a tag after a couple of poor local efforts sprinting against better. The best move is the drop in class and she fits far better in this field as a pace threat who can pounce in the latter stages.
