Nick Tammaro’s Pick 6 Aqueduct Selections & Analysis – Saturday, December 17, 2022

AQUEDUCT – 12/17/22

RACE 5: 6-3-7-4

#6 SHERIFF BIANCO is a likely Pick 6 single for many in the opening leg.  His resurgence since moving to dirt has been remarkable and his running style makes him an ideal fit today given that there’s a lot of speed signed up.  Look for him to come calling late.

RACE 6: 3-2-9-7

#3 TAPIT TRICE stands to benefit more from the experience earned last time out than does #2 SUMMER CAUSE.  The former was a rallying third into a slow pace last time out and should be more involved early with an aggressive pilot astride this afternoon.  Any improvement makes him a player.

RACE 7: 1-3-4-10

Many Pick 6 dreams will go through #1 LES BON TEMPS, who is bidding for a second straight win after gamely scoring in the Maid of the Mist last time out.  She has tactical speed and can be taken back off an expected strong pace today as a very likely winner.

RACE 8: 5-1-6-8

#5 BARESE is going to be very tough to beat today given his recent form.  He goes 3rd off a layoff for trainer Mike Maker off a narrow miss against open company stakes foes.  There’s an abundance of speed in here and shortening up in distance only helps his chances.

RACE 9: 11-8-5-1

#11 VACATION DANCE is better suited to turf, that much we know, but lands in a spot where he towers over his rivals on paper.  He’s trained well on dirt in the past and is the quickest on paper, so there’s reason to believe he’ll wire this field.

RACE 10: 4-1A-3-6

#4 JOYFUL GHOST is a second time starter who showed some life early on debut.  He starts for Linda Rice, who is 27% with maiden 2nd time starters on dirt ($2.36 ROI) and the early speed he has is a weapon.  This is a woeful field and that only helps his chances.
