Oaklawn Early P4 Analysis- April 24th 2021-By Spencer Luginbuhl

Race 2

#6 Suzie’s Dream: Taking a shot with a shipper who didn’t run too well last time out at the N2X level and now gets the right kind of drop-in class. She is first off the claim for a solid claiming barn, and nice to see she is protected right away. This mare is a very solid 5-10 at the six-furlong distance.

Race 3

#3 Spurwick Lane: Lone dropper who has never raced in a maiden claiming race and who has multiple back class races on his sheet that can get it done today. I love the fact that Cabrera gets back aboard as he was the last time she ran a big race three back.

A=3

Race 4

#2 Golden Tiger: One of my favorite angles in this game is when a trainer goes right back in for a reclaim, and Steve Asmussen is doing just that. The last race was improved, but due to a slow pace so that figure might not be as good. Asmussen also doesn’t have his top rider aboard, so maybe that changes the price a bit in our favor.

A=2-1

Race 5

#6 Strolling: there should be big improvement first off the claim for this new barn, and with him running a 92 Beyer three back, there seem to be good solid back races where he can improve back to. This is one of the few runners who has won recently for 16K or above.

A=6-4-2
