Oaklawn Early P5 Analysis- April 22 2021- By Spencer Luginbuhl

Race 1

#4 Renegade Sunset: Shea Stuart finally got this one to stretch out last time, showed good speed, and faded down the lane. I thought it was a terrific race for a first route and now having some bottom under her and along with a drop-in class, maybe her speed can have her go gate to wire. She also three back in the mud had a race that fits in the Beyer Par, which was at 80-1.

A=4-3

Race 2

#6 Moorac: Has slowly been improving since coming off the layoff with the latest race fitting within the Beyer Par. She won her maiden race turning back in distance which she is doing again today.

A=6-4

B=1

Race 3

#3 Nifty: This horse has been very consistent since the claim for Chris Hartman. He has been facing some much better horses in the opt claiming level and ran well against Silver State in a listed stake. That last race since the layoff was very lovely, running second for 62K.

A=3

Race 4

#1 War Ballad: I always like it when a horse can win for more than the starter level. She ran that race two back, and it was her best race in the last year. Since she ran a race for 7.5K at Mountaineer, she fits the level, and in this race is a juicy price of 6-1.

A=1-2

B=4-5

Race 5

#6  Take Charge Erica: Nice win last time out for 25K and now takes a slight jump up to 30K. That win fits the top level for the Beyer Par and can be dangerous off the jump in class. This mare has 5 of her six-lifetime wins at the six-furlong distance.

A=6-5
