Race 5 SELECTIONS: 1 – 3
Based on the form it looks as we have a confirmed need the lead type that will be the post time favorite. The lead is not projected to be taken easily as there is another runner with less of a chance to win but will also go for the lead early. We will play against the projected favorite based on the opinion that she will not be able to have things her own way up front. #1 Don’t Get Khozy is a certified closer and should do well with a pace to run at. #3 Rose E Holiday should also be in with a very good chance. She is stepping up in class but she also is stretching out from 7Furlongs to 1 mile.
Race 6 SELECTIONS: 3 – 6 – 8
#3 Oglethorpe has been away from the races for more than 7 months, but trainer Danny Gargan is strong statistically with runners coming off of long layoffs; Oglethorpe’s last two workouts were solid. Speaking of trainers who are good off of long layoffs, trainer Chad Brown sends out #8 Exact Estimate, a four-year-old colt that has not been to the races since June of last year, we will not be surprised if this son of Into Mischief does well. #6 Happy Runner is in good form for trainer Joseph Orseno. He has been knocking at the door at this level surface and distance.
Race 7 SELECTIONS: 3 – 7 – 10
#3 Foxy Lady was claimed last time out and now she steps up in class but she runs for a solid trainer in Martin Drexler and gets the services of top jockey Irad Ortiz. #7 Designed by Kitten likes getting her picture taken at the wire as of late, unfortunately she is not crossing the finish line first. She has been very close in most of her attempts and today switches from the turf to the All-Weather surface. #10 Mercury Head will be making her first start for the new barn of Joseph Orseno. She was claimed last time out and is in good form.
Race 8 SELECTIONS: 5 – 6 – 8
#5 My Sea Cottage continues to improve from a speed figure standpoint and has been a beaten favorite in his last two attempts, today could be the day. #6 Ski Patrol has great late pace and seems to be a new horse since moving over to the turf, he is being campaign by a very good jockey trainer combination; trainer Johnathan Thomas and jockey Jose Ortiz. #8 Masterofthesenate moves to the barn of Saffie Joseph Jr. Last time out he showed his ability to close and should get an opportunity to do so again today as the pace looks to be honest.
Race 9 SELECTIONS: 1 – 5 – 9
#5 Demurely looks like the one to beat in this race but at a short price and several competitors vying for the lead it’s hard to single here. I am also going to include two long shots that may have an opportunity to make things spicy. #9 Mudshaft has shown the ability to close and drops slightly to face non winners of three lifetime. #1 Sade Purse also fits that same mold of class dropping and can close in a sprint.
Let’s make it happen!!!
