Race 8 SELECTION:    4

#4 Frank’s Rockette creme de la creme.

Race 9 SELECTIONS:    1  –  2  –  3  –  4  –  8  –  11

#1 Emperor’s Appeal has a strong late kick that should serve him well if he takes to the turf.  #2 Chiringo is a well bred colt that has shown steady improvement in his speed figures and will route for the first time. #3 Harry Time ran a winning race until the very end last time out, that was his first race in the U.S. and was off a long layoff.  #4 Moon Cat attempted the Grade 3 Kitten’s Joy last time and did not do well at all.  Today drops in class and gets Lasix for the first time.   #8 Morethanreadyeddie did not fare well in his return last time out but got into traffic trouble.  #11 Tumbarumba didn’t do much running last time out but trainer Brian Lynch brings back this runner to a similar race and puts the blinkers back on.

Race 10 SELECTIONS:   1  –  3

#1 Unikee returns from a eight month layoff for trainer Teresa Pompay.  He showed his potential early on in his career and if he is ready off the bench should have a good shot in today’s tenth race; recent workout was impressive. #3 Starship Renegade is a lightly raced five-year-old that ran a solid second place finish last time out in a similar race; stretching out to 6.5Furlongs with should help with is chances as he does his best running late.

Race 11 SELECTION:    4

#4 Train to Artemus is a five-year-old mare that is in great form for trainer Kelly Breen.  She is as consistent as they come and should be able to use her ability to press and finish strong here today.

Race 12 SELECTIONS:   1  –  3  –  5  –  9  –  10  –  11

#1 Earth is stepping up in class but is in good form for trainer Victor Russo; he has competed well at this level in the past.  #3 Pride and Passion has not been to the races in more than three months but runs for a good trainer and jockey combination.  #5 Raise the Rent is dropping in class and trying the All-Weather for the first time, another runner that has a good team of trainer – jockey in is corner.  #9 High Press include is based on the horse’s ability coupled with the fact that he will be running for the barn of Sandino Hernandez, whose operation is the statistical definition of small but mighty.   #10 Commanding General has good early speed and moves to the barn of Kent Sweezey and will be running third off the layoff.  #11 Joe Phillips has been competitive at higher levels going longer on the turf; his most recent workout was impressive.
