Race 5 SELECTIONS:   3  –  5  –  7  –  9

#3 Snow Loves a Fight has been away from the races for more than eight months but when she was last seen she faced much stronger.  #5 Reconnecting is a lightly raced homebred filly running for trainer David Fawkes.  She won last time out and retains the services of jockey Jose Ortiz.  #7 Tapple Cider drops in class and gets a rider change to jockey Junior Alvarado.  #9 Linn Pier tried the All-Weather surface at a higher class level last time out, her connections, owner trainer Daniel Hurtak brings her back to the surface and level where she is much more competitive.

Race 6 SELECTIONS:   3  –  6

#3 Can’t Be Broken returns to the class level where he rarely finishes out of the top three, he will also be shorting up in distance by half a furlong.  #6 Papa Katz only bad race was his last one and will look to rebound for new trainer Antonio Sano, will be reunited with jockey Irad Ortiz.

Race 7 SELECTIONS:   2  –  6  –  8

#2 Atthecrossroads will drop in class and get Lasix for the first time in her career, she has earned her highest speed ratings in races similar to the condition of today’s seventh race.  #6 Kikilove has the potential to run better than she did last time out.  Her race two back at this level and distance she pulled away from the field to win by more than four lengths.  #8 Looking for Hope gets Lasix for the first time and will be running second off the layoff for trainer Saffie Joseph Jr.; she has faced tougher competition in the past.

Race 8 SELECTIONS:   1  –  3  –  6

#1 Riveting Spirit moves up in class after being claimed last time out.  She is now under the care of new trainer Carlos David, who is solid with first after the claim runners.  #3 Sanura has not been to the races for over a year but has sharp recent workouts for trainer Barclay Tagg.  #6 Lay the Groundwork was never involved in her last race at 7.5Furlongs on the turf.  She will move back to the All-Weather surface where she has earned her highest speed ratings and gets a rider change to Irad Ortiz.

Race 9 SELECTIONS:   4  –  5  –  7

#4 Imposter Syndrome steps up in class for a very good turf trainer in Michael Maker.  He has run well in different race segments and should be competitive in today’s finale.  #5 Jay’s Delight showed really good early speed last time out and will be switching over to the turf for the small but mighty barn of Garry Lee; rider change to Emisael Jaramillo.  #7 Red’s Revenge will be running first off the claim for trainer Jose D’Angelo.  He has been competitive going longer and gets the meets leading rider Irad Ortiz.
