Late Pick 5 sequence:
Race 5 SELECTIONS: 3 – 6
#3 Vai Bella attempted to wire a much tougher field last time out and was run-down late in the stretch on the turf. A similar performance on the dirt and she could very well find the winner’s circle. #6 Irony also drops in class after running on the turf last time out for trainer Ronald Spatz; she also gets Lasix for the first time.
Race 6 SELECTIONS: 7 – 1
#7 Invaluable deserves the morning line favoritism as she returns to the dirt, her preferred surface. #1 Rose E Holiday has the ability to close late, that coupled with the 7-furlong distance should make this one a mid-priced value potential.
Race 7 SELECTIONS: 1 – 4
#1 Le Boiana has good early speed and the rail draw should help her keep the inside position; gets Lasix for the first time. #4 Defended is making her first start for trainer Antonio Sano. Although her prior starts were against State-Bred fillies only; her times matchup strong with this group.
Race 8 SELECTIONS: 11 – 10
#11 Exult tired in his last race against similar company, prior to that he had been running against allowance company up in New York. He as shown that he can run late, jockey Luis Saez should have him in a good forward position early. #10 Daniel Sun is a hard-trying gelding out of Kitten’s Joy that has been closing willingly against stronger competition.
Race 9 SELECTIONS: 4 – 1 – 7
#4 Kavala is a first time starter that has shown good speed in her workouts; trainer is good with first time starters. #1 Tovia is the other first time starter, her workouts are not as quick but breeding suggest that she will like the distance. #7 Fia First is making her sixth career start, first for the new smaller barn that has been hot.
Let’s make it happen!!!
