Last week we were unsuccessful in hitting any of our horizontal wagers. Saturday’s sequence was a fun one and we were 1 Timid Pass away from cashing the Pick 4.

#2 Famous Gent – Grinder type who could improve with the added distance. Timid Pass.
#3 Irish Honor – Moves to highly successful barn but has shown little to no consistency since maiden victory. Timid INCLUDE.
#4 Sir Ollie – Finished with strong conviction in his first outing but that was in maiden company. Pass
#5 Florala Al – Pass.
#6 Beaster – faltered last time after chasing a fast pace, could rebound. – Timid INCLUDE
Tough race to call: 4 out of the 6 runners have a chance to win this one. I am going to take the top 3 and move forward. If we don’t have any strong opinions in the remaining races, its always a option to skip this race and move on to the pick 4 starting in Race 7.

#4 Ima Daredevil – Logical contender with good late pace figures. INCLUDE
#5 Words of Devine- Evenly paced runner who is won versus n3L (non winners of 3 races lifetime) last time out. Pass.
#6 Free to Fly – Cutting back to 6 furlongs after going a mile her first race back from a break, so she should be ready to take on the 6 Furlongs. Good Connections – INCLUDE
#7 Worth Avenue – Pass.
#8 Dahlonega – There is potential here. 6 year-old mare has early speed and is now getting back to the dirt and stretching out for a barn that is doing well this meet. – Long Shot – Timid INCLUDE
#9 Midtown Rose – At this level on the dirt she fits for sure. INCLUDE.

#4 Fifth Title – Hard trying 8 year-old that has not raced in 3 months. Pass.
#5 Candy Crushem – Put in a very nice effort last time out which was his 3rd time off a lay off – Other than that race, his efforts previous effort can’t compete. Timid INCLUDE.
#6 Unmatchable – Pass.
#7 January Won – will not be able to win but closes well, could get into the exotics. Pass.
#8 Robintakincharge – Will ensure that there is an honest pace and could take a little punch out of the #1 but ultimately don’t see him staying around until the end.
#9 Meade – Pass.

#3 Thinkaboutit – Cutting back to a sprint from after a hard fought mile last time; solid connections 1st time Lasix, should ready. INCLUDE

#5 Zamfir – Has shown to have a versatile running style on both surfaces. Irad in the irons. INCLUDE

#7 Kasim – Has consistently run on the turf at this distance. Top Connections – INCLUDE
#8 Ensign Parker – Attempting surface and distance for the 1st time – Barn currently cold. Pass

#2 Eighty Seven North – Slow starting runner that will attempt to make one big run at the end to get up. Good connections Timid INCLUDE.
#3 Sainte Mere Eglise – Stalker type that does not possess any good final pace figures. Pass
#4 Signing Bonus – Pass.
#5 Terrible Tara – Pass.
#6 Alluring Rumba – Another runner that has been in position to win, but doesn’t seem to want to seal the deal. Figures are a little light. Pass.
#7 Letsnotgetoexcited – Pass.
#8 Miranda Sofia. Pass.
#9 Miss Ghislaine – First Time Starter for Christophe Clement. I don’t typically like to play horses that have yet to experience race day competition but in a spot like this one – Let’s INCLUDE
#10 Gingeronmymind – Has had races were she was in contention but couldn’t finish it out – Pass.
#11 Courted – Just missed winning at a higher level going the same distance several times, now dropping in class and getting Luis in the saddle makes this one an INCLUDE
#12 Uptown Queen – With so many runners of the same style and class it will be difficult to work out a trip from the far outside. Pass.

After analyzing the sequence, my recommendation is that we play the pick 4.

RACE #7 – If we can get a decent price on #9 Midtown Rose – I would not be against playing a Daily Double bet into our top two sections for Race 8#
