Opening Day at KEENELAND Late Pick 5

Keeneland! Welcome to a 2020 none of us saw coming! Without going into all of the painstaking life adjustments we’ve all found ourselves engulfed in on the daily, let’s take this time to celebrate this great game and pick some winners on Opening Day at Keeneland’s Summer Meet (in JULY!).  #KeenelandatHome

Late Pick 5 sequence

Opening Day at a meet is never easy – but

We don’t play this game for easy.

Here’re my perspectives – Add them to yours and let’s CASH.
Leg A Race 5 ——— 7 Furlongs. Mdn 70k
A’s : # 4 Savvy strong closing pace figures – Should do well with added distance
# 7 Searing Chase 4yr old FTS Training lights outs
B’s :# 3 Lucky Asset – 3rd off layoff – solid numbers in two previous attempts
Solid early pace in Race 5 – Attempting to beat the #1 and the #2 as I think they will come back to others – but its speed on dirt – I will include them on a saver ticket with other A’s in the sequence.
Race 6 ——– 1 Mile. (Turf) Alw 77000n1x
A’s: # 2 Greyes Creek Won last time out – back races not bad – Chad on Turf
# 13 Bee Catcher Runner with ability – Hoping Joel can come with that great late run.
B’s:# 11 Attorney Tim Another runner with the ability to come on late
Lots of quality horses who are attempting to put it all together – No standouts on the front end – Looking for a closer – Trip is key in turf racing.
Race 7——– 1 Mile. Alw 50000
A’s: # 3 Fra Mauro Strong Asmussen trainee who was in tight at the start last time out – Should be ready to rock
# 5 Runnin’ Ray Stepping up but has the early speed and stamina to see it through at a mile
B’s:# 7 Father G Really strong numbers but has a problem finding the wire
Race 8——– 5½ Furlongs. (Turf) Alw 80000nc
A’s: #1 High Holy Great early speed will he take to the Turf?
#2 Maven Ward Shipper that has been training well at KEE since April
#8 Ikeisgreat Turf sprinter that has been progressing nicely – Fits at a price
B’s:#5 Cambria Showed promise before the BCJuvTurfSp – on the Bench for 8 Months – Respect the connections decisions.
Tough Race – I think all A’s have a legitimate chance
Race 9——– 7 Furlongs. MC 20000
A’s: #5 Boss Life drops – Early running style – 2nd off the Layoff – Romans can get it done with a horse like this
#11 Spice Road Competitive at higher levels – looking to find that winning feeling
B’s:#13 AE Magic Man’s Touch Solid numbers in only 2nd career start
#14 AE Whisky Man Strong Connections and Pedigree on the colt who was named from me. 🙂
Make adjustments as needed if any of the AEs draw in – Strong contenders on the outside looking to get in
