Parx Racing 4/4/22

Parx Spot Plays

Race 3: #5 Pennsylvania Steel

  • Pennsylvania Steel should be close to the lead if not the pace leader. Angel Castillo has given this horse two great trips since this horse entered this barn. He is dropping back into the level he was claimed for and I think they expect this horse to win today. Should be the favorite but hopefully no shorter than 6/5.

Race 6: #2 My Train

  • My Train should also be forwardly placed today but can sit just off the early goers if need be. He should benefit from an inside post position and Laprida has been giving this horse some solid rides. He has been improving in each start and I think this time might be the time he wins again. It has been about a year since he last won but has been improving under Flores-Coba.

Race 9: #4 Far Mo Power

  • Far Mo Power has been dominating the competition lately and is looking for a 4th win in a row. Lou Linder might have a special one on his hands with this one. 6 1-2 furlongs might be the ideal distance as it seems 6F is doable but slightly short, and 7F is just fine. I think Dexter Haddock will replicate the previous rides he has given this gelding.
