Parx Racing 12/20/21

Parx Spot Plays

Race 2: #2 Wendy’s Fine Wine

  • Wendy’s Fine Wine looks to be one of the top contenders here and I think she has the best chance to win. She doesn’t need to duplicate the most recent performance but if she can show half of that, she could win. Anthony Nunez is riding today as Adorno is out with injury I believe. Nunez can ride well enough to guide this to victory so the jockey change I don’t mind.

Race 7: #3 Quite Ready

  • Quite Ready is in his 2nd career start for Michael Trombetta. It is very rare to see Trombetta shipping a non Pa Bred to Parx to run. However, this 2yo must show some ability at Fair Hill and Parx has good 2yo Purses. They added blinkers today and Victor Carrasco who has probably been working this horse at Fair Hill since he is based in Maryland, is coming in to ride this. I think this horse has room for improvement and today could be the day.

Race 9: #2 Uncle Ernie

  • Uncle Ernie is a fast horse and if he can get the lead he will be tough to catch. He has had really good workouts coming into this race and Vargas returns after having a very good weekend up in NY. I think this horse will keep Vargas’s hot streak rolling and this horse has yet to miss the trifecta in 5 career starts.
