Race 3: #7 Fore Harp

  • Fore Harp should be the controlling speed today. He broke his maiden in the slop and today he gets a similar surface. The rain that happened last night should quicken up the track and if that is the case, this horse should be able to hold on if he gets the lead. Edwin Rivera just has to be aggressive and it should be a perfect trip on the lead for Butch Reid.

Race 5: #5 Cobh

  • Cobh in my opinion is the best in this field when it comes to form and off track form. Ruben Silvera is looking to have back to back years where he is the leading rider and horses like Cobh helped him with that last year and it should help him today. This horse was winning with a smaller barn and now is in Lou Linder’s barn which should be a huge upgrade. I think this is the one to beat today.

Race 8: #9 Pettigo Girl

  • Pettigo Girl was having a really good end of 2021 with Penny Pearce and is now in the Gary Contessa barn. Abner Adorno stays on this horse which is a good sign that he likes the horse. She has run well on an off track but has yet to run on a track as sloppy as today. I think Adorno knows how to give this horse a good trip and I think the barn change has minimal effect as both trainers are doing well. If Adorno can rate this horse just off the speed, this race might be his for the taken on this filly.
