PARX SPOT PLAYS
Race 3: #5 Smokey White
- Smokey White is coming into this race in immaculate form for Lupe Preciado and with Silvestre Gonzalez in the irons for the first time which I like. I think this horse is mostly a sprinter but I am intrigued with the stretch out. I think we could get a decent price today as well.
Race 8: #5 Hey Padre
- Hey Padre is in a good spot here. This time last year he was in great form and then had a clunker at Colonial. After that clunker of a race he was put on the shelf for a couple months, and came back to win in October on synthetic. His return since then was at Delaware 8 months later and it was a solid effort but needed a race. Today he should be ready.
Race 10: #1 T Rex
- T Rex is an interesting horse in the last today. Has some good efforts recently but should be better today. I don’t know which horse Ruben Silvera is riding but if he is on the 1 I think the 1 is the horse to beat. This field is weak and a lot of horses are trying a new surface. This one should be tough on the rail.
