Parx Spot Plays for Monday 7/26/21
Race 5
#9 Alfatei seems to just run the best races with Angel Castillo in the irons. This gelding is 2 for 3 at 7F and the most recent 7F win was with Angel Castillo and against OC company and he crushed that field. He is coming off a career number and is in peak form here today. I think 4/1 would be a gift in this race and this is my best bet of the day.
Race 6
#4 Solemn Oath is a longshot play today as this horse is joining the Jacinto Solis barn who has been very under the radar this season but she is hitting at 23% in 40 starts. This horse has sneaky good turf starts early in her career. She debuted as a 2yo on turf and finished a closing 3rd. Then they took her to Kentucky Downs where she didn’t fit and ran 9th of 11. Since then she hasn’t been on turf and joins a solid barn with a top jockey in Frankie Pennington. I doubt she goes off 12/1 but you might be lucky enough to get double digit odds today.
Race 9
#4 Admiral Abe is one of the best horses on the Parx grounds right now and one of the fastest as well. This race might be a tad too long for him as he is more of a 5F or 5 ½ F type of horse and 6F might be a tad too much. However, I trust this horse and Silvestre Gonzalez has been riding this horse perfectly so I expect another perfect effort today.
