Race 2: #3 Spring Emperor
- Spring Emperor is now back in the Ralph Riviezzo barn and the last time he was in that barn this horse ran the best race of his recent career. I think going back to that barn and staying in this bottom tier of class level, means that this horse should be ready to win. Luis Rivera is riding very well this year and this horse runs good with him on his back. Should be tough.
Race 6: #8 Sour Mash
- Sour Mash gets a huge upgrade in jockey today. This horse has been putting up lackluster performances lately. However, today they get Angel Castillo who rode this horse 3 and 4 races ago which was also the last two times this horse took any money in the betting. If this horse is bet today which it should be based of ML, then that is a good sign. This horse might crush this group.
Race 7: #6 Espernsita
- Espernsita has been undefeated so far in her lightly raced career. So far she has shown to be on the lead or to sit off and win either way. She is game and she is on fire. These connections win at a 22% clip and just had a bullet workout last week in preparation for this race. This is the best horse in their barn and this horse should win again.
