Race 3: #1 One That Got Away

  • One That Got Away is a first time starter for Mike Trombetta debuting here today with jockey Victor Carrasco. The works have been consistent at Fair Hill and this horse should be ready to face competition. She was a 78k purchase and is debuting for 25k which isn’t a great sign but she is a PA bred so the bonus helps. I think she will run very well today and should be a top choice today.

Race 6: #4 One Niner Tango

  • One Niner Tango won last time out to break his maiden. I think he needs/wants the early lead in order to win. I think today he can get that with jockey Ruben Silvera. He is a cheap horse but he tries, and I think that is what you need here. This field isn’t much and a couple horses have potential to bounce off a big effort last time out. I think this might be a horse that needed that wake up call win and could be something solid at this level.

Race 8: #6 Get The W

  • Get The W is a horse I always turn to, especially when in the Haleem Lee barn. This horse has gotten plenty of Ws in his 9yo career. I think this horse runs better with Haleem Lee and the fact they claimed him back last time out after losing him to Mike Pino the race prior to that, is a good sign. They know how to win with this horse and they are willing to buy him back to do so.
